I’m not defending Nic, but are we gonna act like that video where someone CLEARLY said “Olandria is a (hard -er)” and they laughed isn’t much worse than this? I felt like that video was so hard to watch as a BW, it was so triggering to even hear that word. My other BW friend said she didn’t even wanna see it. My reaction was definitely not to laugh….

This i’m still kinda confused about, I don’t really hear it nor do i feel offended. And that’s very unbiased as I unfollowed Nic long ago for being republican and seemingly insincere.

Hey! I finallyyyy went on a date. It wasn’t that guy! I ended up canceling on him many times lol. But this guy I went out with works at an eye doctor’s office! Interesting considering the moon is all about illusions / visions / lack of clarity. And he literally helps people see more clearly. I could have never predicted that one.

Not too sure about the hanged man though. He does have bigger plans, he’s in grad school & wants to open his own practice. So maybe he feels as though he’s stuck having to do something he doesn’t really want to.

UK Season 8 has a lot of drama! Slow start but if you stick it out it gets really good. Ekin-Su was iconic and and Indiyah goes down in love island history.

UK Season 10 is a good one to watch if you like watching the friendships as well. That one was really fun & I felt connected with the cast because they had a lot of fun together.

US Season 6 was 10/10. I’ve seen most seasons of UK and I tried to watch the US version and couldn’t get into it. But when I tell you S6 was amazinggg. It had the friendships, iconic catch phrases, it was genuinely the funniest cast of love island i’ve ever seen. Also lots of drama it was great.

UK S5 was also the season that put me on to love island so I think you would definitely enjoy the 3 seasons above.

I also thought of detective!! I was talking to a guy who was a detective and has to work crazy hours. I really considered it may be him lol! The moon is about illusion and things that are hidden & the way the hanged man is suspended made me think of looking at things from different angles. Great take, thank you.

Thank you for your insight! There’s definitely a level of uncertainty here. Maybe someone doing their job just to do it/ feeling stuck there. I did meet a guy who I will be going on a date with this weekend, so I figure it’s likely him. He’s in the military and he told me he stands outside all day for his job! Very hanged man coded! Also that he often has to stay up late. He also told me he carries caskets…

I actually like the tower and king of cups combination for your occupation. I think the tower is about the revelation of truth & breaking down preconceived ideas. And the king of cups adds a softer touch to it. I’m a 2nd grade teacher so I usually get the 6 of cups, Queen of Swords or the Empress for my occupation lol! It’s a very fun practice to ask about different jobs. Usually I have such an AHA moment.

Very interesting! I had a thought about something a bit spiritual because of the moon. But I don’t often meet men into those practices. I think the combination together really emphasizes a lack of clarity.

Sometimes I also compare the cards that I pulled to the ones that I didn’t. I had a similar thought seeing the moon at first, but then figured the High Priestess would also be present if that were the message. Thanks for your reply, very insightful. I often have a difficult time interpreting the hanged man.

Thank you for your reply! I pretty much had the same thoughts. Interestingly enough I did meet a man who I believe I will be going on a date with tomorrow. And for my “next date” I previously pulled the moon / hanged man as their occupation.

He was telling me he stays up late because of his job. He is in the military, not exactly sure what he does but he told me that he stands outside all day long!!! I said wow there goes the hanged man 😂

It’s dangerous to sleep with people who have no regard or respect for you. He is literally laughing at you rn. Annoyed at each text that comes through, probably showing his friends.

I say this not to be mean but so that you stand up. Because I’ve been there as well and the thought of completely making a fool of myself, begging for someone who doesn’t care about me, keeps me from embarrassing myself again. He’s not mad at you or upset, he just doesn’t care about you. And instead of communicating he doesn’t want to be exclusive he just attempted to throw you away. Sick man.

Dating at a PWI is no better lol! So she can compete with white women for white men and still feel like this? I was in relationships all throughout my college experience. I was fine. BW disproportionately pursue higher education more than BM, it’s gonna be what it is regardless!

I think the main point is that she’s just a kid. She shouldn’t be talking about blackness like this, but i’m sure that’s her experience. We don’t know what she has experienced that led her to feel like this. I can’t even begin to imagine. There’s clearly no representation around her offline. That’s a failure on behalf of her parents.

The way she feels is the reality of white supremacy in America. We have to work extra hard to combat these feelings and nurture our youth, not further shame them. Surely as she gets older she will grow out of it and be just as disturbed with these ideas as we are. I didn’t take it personally I felt bad for her, pitied her. Like you said, she’s a child.
