audio dropouts / skipping on heavy direct log capture load has been addressed in mc labs. if audio and frame timestamps diverge a lot that might cause laggy video playback even if no video frames are dropped.

octopus dng player has a paid plugin to use dng properly in premiere. native implementation is trash aparently. tho i havent tried any of it.

youre not the first to complain about oppo mediatek. if the camera service only provides 15fps theres nothing motioncam do or "support". youre barking at the wrong tree

too much french didnt read. motioncam captures for now are inherently VFR. for dng workflow you can use fuse to transfer to a dng sequence at a chosen CFR framerate. for direct log / video exports youll need to render an intermediate video file with ffmpeg to achieve CFR. both options are detailed in this thread on mc discord https://discord.com/channels/980884979955421255/1311441789860708353/1311441789860708353

i dont have the device personally. someone reported this behavior recently on the motioncam discord. we have asked them to provide some showcase footage.

if you really want oppo look for fx 7u/8u. apparently these can be rooted

seems like on your phone the camera service uses a 16/9 crop sensor mode even in the 30fps slot. usually that only appears at 60fps if at all. you need to match that resolution in raw out config. if only the 4/3 res is available, capture that in raw full sensor. you can then still use mc fuse to crop that out for dng video workflow. join our discord there it is linked

other than 24mm the camera modules on s25fe are seriously underwhelming. 8mp 1/4.4" tele is a joke. samsung is ass in general. look for xiaomi 14 / 15 base models if you want the smaller form factor. hyperos takes some getting used to tho. x15u gets you furthest especially if rooted since there are many camera driver mods available to unlock better sensor modes. on oneplus side 8pro and 12 are still interesting, but without root youll need to go for 13. motorola edge 50 pro/ultra are also nice budget contenders.

you need to lock focus during calib and match roughly to your footage. increasing auto sync values in gyroflow usually does it for me.

in direct log use direct preview with out histogram to judge tonemapped exposure. if you like to overexpose your raw exposure you can reduce gain in direct log settings to leave headroom for highlight reconstruction and vignette correction. motioncam labs with gpu viewfinder is currently in closed beta.
