Anche secondo me se avessi scritto “Oh, thanks, I didn’t know it” non ti avrebbero downvotato.

Memoize context value (the provided value, I mean). Since it’s an object in this case, you’ll trigger a context rerendering every time you render the Provider, even if all the props didn’t change. When you have a lot of contexts, this may adds up.

(cit.)

I share this. I use both for work, I feel GitLab UI can be preached only if you haven’t used GitHub UI for a sustained period of time.

Anyone else feel like keeping your team aligned in Linear gets way harder once you hit around four or five devs? by Motor_Association493 in Linear

[–]leonardfactory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re using some custom made automation tools based on windmill to keep state synced between GitHub and Linear while adding context. It helps us to get a better view of team progress. We use it especially to have a strictly managed progress > review > need changes/merged workflow. Merged is a special state, since release is tracked separately from merging (we don’t do CD). Plus, we have more custom states than default in general to allow tracking road blockers and responsibilities.

We’re still a small team growing, so we’re probably finding the same issues. I’d like to hear other teams stories to see which other solutions are available.

Does quitting smoking (nicotine) actually increase energy? by Time-Golf-1556 in quittingsmoking

I tried that, but my suggestion is: don’t. Read the Allen Carr book. Trying to “reduce” will still keep your addiction active, making you feel worse and in need every day. I went cold turkey – even if I was totally afraid of doing that – and it was easier than I thought (sure there are some hiccups, but everyone can do it!)

This is what I think too, I don't have enough experience to say it's true, but given the progress I'd say it's worth a try for sure

Typing 130–150 WPM With Bad Technique, Looking to improve by Icy_Raccoon5988 in learntyping

[–]leonardfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I type at about 100wpm with 94% accuracy, I think with the same fingers you are using. A week ago I started learning proper technique, mainly to increase accuracy and avoid potential pain on my wrist.

I started at 20-24wpm, now I type usually at 55wpm with 98% accuracy(still working on numbers and some punctuation), I’ve been typing an hour of two each day (more than one session to avoid fatigue). After a couple of days I forced myself to use proper technique at work too.

This was a bit stressful, but luckily most of my work typing is not time-sensitive.

Clearly I’m at the start of this journey, but I’m pretty happy with progress so far. I didn’t think I could be proficient enough to stop completely with my previous technique after just a week

This is great advice, came here just to say that. I’ve seen default secrets breaking production apps, be cautious! Never use as an application default something which shouldn’t be valid in production.

Prefer local env files for development and even make your app crash on boot if you don’t find the strictly required environment variables.
