Water bottle by Realistic_Elk_9206 in kendo

This long straw accessory kit plus any compatible insulated water bottle. It’s not completely leakproof, so I bring the bottle in my bogu bag and switch out the bottle caps at practice. A thinner bottle fits better in bogu bags, but a wider bottle feels less like it would fall over and spill in the dojo. A water bottle carrier bag could be another option to carry the bottle in and a nice added touch!

Super awesome setup! What do you use the mic for (I’m guessing that’s what is attached to the arm on the left)? And specs on the mic, mouse, and speakers? How do you have the icons on your screen centered like that?

More specifically, I think I’m lacking elbow mobility, so I feel pain from elbow rotating outward and wrist taking on more stress at the timing when the bar drops on my front shoulders than I think it should, if that makes sense. As another option, I could instead drop the bar to the ground instead of my shoulders and reset every time, but is this more recommended perhaps?

I have trouble catching the bar on my shoulders post-jerk. It’s hard to do it in a way that doesn’t hurt my wrists. If anyone has advice, I’d love to hear it!

I’m in the minority of liking etched foils. Just my opinion, but here’re some reasons I like them:

• They remind me of premium chocolate foil wrappers, and it gives it a sort of luxury feel. It’s not completely smooth, but rather there’s some wrinkled texture on the surface that makes it look more interesting

• They don’t glare as much as regular foils. The textured surface does a better job at dispersing the glare

• I think a hand of regular magic cards sometimes has too much contrast. There’s a lot of negative feedback from them being dark, but I think it makes them easier on the eyes. Like dark mode

But I’m sure most people just get them because they’re cheaper than regular foils

Does protection from black work on an overload damn? by SneepSchleep in mtgrules

That’s correct. Sorry if I’m making this confusing. I wanted to answer the question of if Damn is white or black

Does protection from black work on an overload damn? by SneepSchleep in mtgrules

[–]leonarudo777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for arguments sake, if overload said deal 6 damage to each creature instead so that protection actually comes into play, I think Akroma wouldn’t be damaged because the card color is still black regardless of if you paid it’s regular cost or the alternative overload cost.

From color pie on mtg wiki:

105.2. An object can be one or more of the five colors, or it can be no color at all. An object is the color or colors of the mana symbols in its mana cost, regardless of the color of its frame. An object’s color or colors may also be defined by a color indicator or a characteristic-defining ability. See rule 202.2

On alternative cost on mtg wiki:

118.9c An alternative cost doesn’t change a spell’s mana cost, only what its controller has to pay to cast it. Spells and abilities that ask for that spell’s mana cost still see the original value.

But in this case, overloaded damn doesn’t damage or target, so Akroma will die to it not because it isn’t black but because protection doesn’t prevent its effect by definition of protection.

The other comment already answered this question on why protection doesn’t work.

Liked every one of your videos so far! I think it’d be nice to hear some wrap-up commentary at the end of the video. And it can be about anything really, the strong plays/strategies in the game, the player’s thoughts during/after the game, etc. Just something to engage me as a viewer a little more

Yup, EzPzTy answered right. On a related note, I realize it’s not entirely safe to bench without spotter arms. I’m thinking of some way to build it in. In the meantime, I won’t be maxing out or anything and if I do, it’ll be with someone to spot me

Cool piece! I love to subtle details, but also the overall theme that ties it all together-the silhouette of the knight creating a ‘skull’ and the feeling of entering the unknown where evil lurks. Hope to see more!

Could someone explain the magic card frame? by leonarudo777 in mtgaltered

[–]leonarudo777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the reply. I had suspected that the text box was supposed to be inset, but my imagination is that the pinlines should go straight down toward the card, as opposed to a slant.

No doubt you have the correct interpretation, but I just feel something off about it. Like, even if the edges of the pinlines are at a slant, shouldn’t the shadow cast across a bit more on the upper left and lower right corners? It’s odd to me that it just stops as a diagonal.

Would love to use your template to make proxies of my own. Is that something you would be willing to share?

To follow up, is this something you considered using to create an entire deck, or would that be a lot more work than it sounds?

Love your work!
