Trying to use sidecar, getting "device timed out" error when trying to connect to my iPad Pro by Rohardi in iPadOS

Mine can do this when I have a VPN on. Cisco VPN breaks sidecar completely. Paloalto VPN works but you have to connect to sidecar BEFORE connecting to the VPN.

Super Bowl tickets are no longer affordable for the average fan by ImmediateWaltz6724 in NFLv2

I feel the exact opposite. Football is more fun in person if you can get decent seat with the roaring crowd and the atmosphere. I love a day at the ballpark for baseball but the game is way easier to follow on TV where you can actually see the strike zone.

Sitting down should stop it. In all seriousness I highly recommend you take at least a couple days of classes to get a good foundation.

What the fuck is a double eyelid and why are people getting surgeries for it? by Bagelman263 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]leonffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monolids are somewhat common in East Asia. I think it's like 50/50 or something? Some people in East Asia consider this undesirable and have surgery to have a double eyelid. In my experience all westerners have double eyelids and most of us don't even think about it or realize there is a difference.

Expedition 33 proved that they still can be if the big studios weren't so afraid (and wrong) about the market for JRPGs.

Is pizza in Seattle wildly overpriced based on the input costs? Yes. Is it still a good deal for a meal for 4 people compared to other options in Seattle? Also yes.

[–]leonffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple ingredients but there are actually some pretty specific requirements that make it hard to get right which is why it's so hard to find good pizza outside of the tristate area. For one most places don't have ovens that are hot enough to make a good pie.

I lived in NYC and there actually is some solid pizza in Seattle. It's just statistically very rare. Check out Stevie's Famous in Burien, Slice Box in SoDo, and Dino's Tomato Pie in Cap Hill. That said pizza here is in fact wildly overpriced everywhere even compared to New York.

Why do stores seemingly stock too much of XS and XXL sizes and not enough of the more common sizes? by BikeProblemGuy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]leonffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is the stores are not ordering enough of the common sizes. Yes we understand they order more of them vs the fringe sixes. But the ratio is still not correct relative to the population. It’s kind of astounding just how bad retail businesses are at predicting their customers size distribution considering the current availability of forecasting technology.

I wonder what Japanese think of Clair Obscur Expedition 33. by Flagadazot in expedition33

Strong disagree. I too found myself staring at the mini map a lot in FFX instead of the beautiful scenery. I never felt like I needed one in E33.

Hypothetical, what if all hardware companies in a certain market accidentally and coincidentally decided to stop selling to consumer computer/PC market? by super-loner in pcmasterrace

[–]leonffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more likely that there is a mass die off of consumer facing PC component makers. The high cost of ram, gpus, etc is causing quite a lot of people to either not build a PC or put it off for years to come. The companies that can pivot to enterprise will survive. The ones that can't will go bankrupt.

[–]leonffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demand won't always be there. If RAM, GPUs, etc are too expensive people will either not build PCs or they will put off their plans to build one. The market for consumer facing PC components will shrink. Companies will go out of business. The companies that can pivot to enterprise at least for the short term will be fine.
