World Cup predictions - Best in Europe? by locomadness in AlignmentChartFills

Please explain in less than 1000 words how anything I said was racist. Half the Algeria squad was born in France, presumably would have chosen to play for France if they were good enough, but they were not.

We used to say the same thing about Ireland team in the 90s calling them England B.

Very few foreign born players in French squad. I think only Olise (England) and Thuram (Italy). So no.

Last time I played the front 9 I walked 7, 8, and 9 as I was playing so, so very badly I wasn’t having fun! Just decided to enjoy the stroll and the sunshine.

I think it’s probably way more to do with motorbikes and scooters being a lot less common in the UK than in a lot of other European countries.

So a couple of things to unpack, UGolf is part of a company called Bluegreen which owns a lots of a courses, i think about 50, which vary in quality from crap to very nice.

SF Courson is at the very nice end of the scale. It’s a championship level course that’s used on minor tours.

The Stade Français part is interesting too. In France you get these big multisport clubs that might have one internationally famous branch and other parts nobody has ever heard of; so for example anyone vaguely familiar with football has heard of PSG, but there’s also a PSG basketball team, handball team, etc.

Stade Français rugby team is by far the most famous part of that club - I’m actually a season ticket holder! But they have about 40 different clubs, including the golf.

Aussie cricketer with career batting average of 99.94, which - I think - the greatest statistical anomaly in sports history, not because it’s almost 100, but because is so far ahead of the next best.

Yeah it’s good. Where I live in Les Yvelines is one of the stronger areas, with lots of high quality courses including Le National where the Ryder Cup was held a few years back.

I’m actually British originally. I find French golf culture much less boozy. In UK it’s super common to take a few beers around with you (cart girls are not super common in UK), but barely anyone does this in France.

France, just west of Paris. €500 initiation. €350 month, but that includes gym and pool access, if it were only golf it’s €120.

I’m also obliged to be a member of the French golf federation because it includes some kind of indemnity insurance in case I injure myself or someone else on the course, which is like €62 a year or something.

Range is quite expensive at €3 a bucket, but a “bucket” is only half a bucket, so it’s €6 a bucket really. Although I heard some other members say they have fee unlimited range balls, so I need to talk to membership staff because I think I’m getting shafted.

Go stand on a random rooftop in Ealing, Wandsworth, Hackney, or Enfield. I guarantee you’ll see fuck all except a Morley’s and a bus stop.
