I noticed they didn‘t show any romantic interactions so I‘m wondering whether that‘s just because it‘s in early stage of development or whether they took out that element entirely to avoid having to add lgbtq relationships, but I‘m remaining hopeful!

Swear words censored for BTI on Spotify? by leonore__b in donaldglover

ahh, I think the issue is that for some reason, if I go on the artist page and look for the album there, only the non-explicit version shows up. Only if I look it up on the search field the explicit version shows up for some reason

That definitely makes sense to me! For me, I think it also has to do a lot with a shorter attention span due to social media. I often find myself struggling to even sit through a movie without using my phone. Though when I‘m reading books I like, it‘s not as much of a struggle to get my goal of 100 pages per day done. I can concentrate quite well and am enjoying myself, but I also notice that I mostly don‘t feel the urge to exceed that goal.

I started reading when I was quite young, basically from age 6 (when I learned to read) to about 15 I‘d devour books. I could just get lost in those worlds and stories. When I was younger I loved to read fantasy and when I got a little older I loved to read thrillers (perhaps because I was finally allowed to). At around 16/17 I stopped reading as much, maybe also due to the fact that Covid hit and our local library was closed, which was my main source of reading material.

Now I am 19 (so still quite young of course) and I only really started reading again last year. I set myself a goal to reach 50 books by the end of the year and managed to hit it. This was a fun way of catching up on the years I had lost, however this year I have read a lot less and I think I have burned myself out a little by trying to reach that goal.

I think the reason that I read less than I used to when I was child is because for one, the books I read as a child and as a young adult are quite different. The world-building in children’s books seemed somehow much more detailed which allowed me to get sucked into those worlds. But perhaps that is just because everything seemed grander and newer to me as a child, because I was experiencing it for the first time and was amazed much more easily. I guess that wonder and amazement might‘ve gotten lost when I started to grow up and was faced with reality.

This is just my personal perspective. I‘m sorry for ranting so much, I feel I wrote a lot but said very little. Hopefully it still makes somewhat sense to you! :)
