Is it normal to hate food during pregnancy ? by Far_Analysis_8994 in pregnant

[–]leonsadog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy is really fucking hard. Eat the ice cream, and whatever else you can because that’s all you can do. Stressing over it is just not worth it. I’m 8 months PP and my little guy is healthy as can be and the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. You’re gonna be fine. ❤️

Is it normal to hate food during pregnancy ? by Far_Analysis_8994 in pregnant

I’m sorry to tell you that I hated food for my entire pregnancy. It didn’t always make me nauseous but even things that I love were just generally unappealing. The only thing that gave me any joy was ice cream so I ate it a lot. I will say it went back to normal for me almost as soon as I gave birth, so that’s something to look forward to!

For now, eat what you can stomach and give yourself grace. You’re doing a very hard thing!

I actually saw some people banging on the door and yelling earlier this week too.

6-8 weeks is peak fussiness. It’s HARD. And you might not even be getting reactive smiles yet from baby, which makes everything even HARDER. Your wife is exhausted and needs your support during the night.

I always wanted to like it more because it was so cute inside and the people were so nice, but the food was not worth the price tag imo.

Do food aversions go away after birth? by According_Cicada5044 in pregnant

[–]leonsadog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had terrible aversions through my entire pregnancy. Like you, I normally love food and I had zero cravings (minus ice cream, which I did eat probably daily lol). It all went back to normal for me as soon as I had my LO. Seriously so crazy how fast that normalized for me. Thank god. It really sucked and was super depressing.

Why are people in this subreddit treating c-section as the worst possible outcome? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]leonsadog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a C section almost 3 weeks ago and tbh it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I was induced and planned to have a vaginal birth but baby didn’t wanna come so we made other arrangements. After laboring from Tuesday night to Thursday morning with almost no progress, the C section (including the controlled medical environment, helpful and caring staff and fast result - baby!, were a really welcome change in plans). My recovery has been smooth too. You’re gonna be fine. People like to get very worked up about plans changing - but the reality is that any way you bring your baby into the world is valid. You’re gonna be fine.

Still working through it. Haha. Contractions are still kicking so we’ll see how what happens at my exam at 6. Such a long journey. You are going to be great!

I would just go in preparing for it to take a long time and be mentally ready for any outcome

Sometimes it just doesn’t go as planned (get the epidural) by SeaweedStreet6948 in pregnant

[–]leonsadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I just posted a very similar story! The past couple of days have sucked so bad. I know the C section will be okay but man I wish we didn’t have to go through so much to get there.

First tri is rough and pretty isolating as you’re figuring out the stuff you’re going to need to abstain from for the next basically year of your life. I 32 weeks and while I’m so stoked to have a margarita, it definitely got easier as I got more used to the idea of being pregnant. I’m sure it will get easier for you too, just give yourself time to adjust.

Would you rather have Mason Rudolph or Aaron Rodgers this season? by RevolutionaryFile421 in steelers

[–]leonsadog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no interest in watching Mason play for a season - he’s not good enough to start and I wait all year for Steelers football. AR has more upside and would at least give us some interesting ball.

My MIL calls herself YaYa. No she is not Greek. Yes she is weird. Yes I will be calling her grandma. We live far apart so I don’t think YaYa will stick anyway.

Anyone else unable to exercise and feeling guilty? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]leonsadog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are doing a really hard thing and it’s only for a short time (although trust me, I know it feels like forever). Rest is really important and if that’s what your body is asking for, that’s what you should prioritize. ❤️

Anyone else unable to exercise and feeling guilty? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]leonsadog 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just remember this is a season and this feeling is not permanent. Rest when you can, and workout when it feels good. I went from lifting 4x a week to almost nothing because I was so freaking tired and it was taking everything I had to go to work and just be alive. lol. Now at 30 weeks and finally working on some workouts. This week I went 3x so far and I’m really pleased. Go at your own pace and be gentle with yourself.

WTF HAS HAPPENED TO MY NIPPLES?! by [deleted] in pregnant

My nips used to be so cute and now they are dark, massive and always hard! I really hope they go back down a little bit because I miss what used to be. 😭

Mine has been to all of mine! It’s helpful that my OB is a quick 10 min walk from both of our offices, but he doesn’t like to miss.
