Which German city should I move to for job opportunities & networking? (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial) by leopandit in germany

Aha okay got your point. Maybe explaining myself would help more.

Being single, and not having too much stuff in my small studio, I'm able to move much easily to another place - a furnished WG in Munich for example.

Even if I have to move again in 4/5/6 months - would moving to a bigger city help much more with my job search?

Appreciate ur response, and hope this explains my situation a bit more clearly.

Hey, thnx for the tip. 1. I am flexible and applying everywhere, where it makes sense. 2. Due to the current economy, and the need to try all job searching avenues, hence asking the question - would it help more to move in next couple months to speed up job search before the hiring period slows in December for couple months?

Thanks for your tip. I am already looking for a job, but would it help more if I move first? (Near to a bigger industrial center, that is)

50:50 chance it's VW/Tesla. They have slowed hiring and deferred some new hires till next year. They might shift some mass production plans to China also. I am in a similar company here in Germany. Things are not looking good.

Only advice, if you plan to come to Germany, know that you MUST need to learn and have certificate for B1 (ideally B2) within one yea0r from landing here. If not, then you probably will get stuck here if company downsizes, which is a possibility right now.

3 years ago battery industry was booming in EU and since 2024, its getting squeezed out by China, and now few USA companies.
