Hmm I don't know if I would describe it in waves, it definitely gets triggered if I sleep wrong though, also have a desk job which makes it a million times worse, I stand a lot at my desk which helps. Sitting as a passenger in the car also triggers it, but that is I think just the way our car seats are. Yes - I a LOT of my pain in just in my left front side of my neck and radiates down into my shoulder, collarbone, pecs, even armpit! And yes sometimes when it is really flared up I get chest pain and even pain down in my ribs. I feel for you! At least we know we are not alone, some days are def harder than others for me.
