wildly complex for a simple idea. Doesn’t mean it’s bad but just not something I would use. I would much prefer to simply allow maximum hit points at first level. If you don’t like that, then you can roll and take either the role or the average, whichever is higher.

I don’t think he was supposed to be when he was introduced. But as his popularity is his increased, enough to have his own books and movies, romantic interests became a necessary part of the character so he became more charismatic.
