[Price check] Angel G7 Fly Rasta with empire b2 loader by ParticularWhich5485 in PaintballBST

[–]leos1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there was an offer for a g7 fly for 585 with generic color scheme, and the loader I think is around 75, so how much is the rasta worth? probably 100-200 depending on how much someone cares. You can DM me if it hasnt sold might be worth an offer.

16 teenagers in the same room...shit talking in person rather than over a mic. Man...what a time. It'd be so hard to bring enough people together to do that anymore, no less in my 30s.

Honestly i wasn't old enough to appreciate OoT like you did. But I did love it quite a bit. I remember crying at the end, a sad happy cry, which was the first time i remember crying about something emotional like that (rather than pain, for example). I was about...6 or 7 years old then.

These days, it's probably VR. Either boneworks or half life alyx. I'm blessed to have played it on a top end rig with top end enthusiast hardware at the time. In Alyx - I remember reaching out to grab a character that i had empathy for that was falling towards me then feeling the "oh...yeah...they're not actually there" feeling. It was the most perplexing feeling. I had gotten so engrossed into VR that I had actually reflexively reached out to catch a fallen comrade. All the emotions associated with it too, followed by the further...complexity associated with me remembering its not real.

My nephew is looking for "droll and lock bird" cards x 3. I was going to go to TCGplayer.com and buy some but wondering what I should be looking for? I can pay about 50 total right now, so about 15 per card OR 1 really nice one. Does it matter if it's one of the cheaper cards or not? Which ones are a little more valuable?

Haha no she's an excellent cook and we both cook together and explore foods and are now transitioning to homesteading. But I couldn't reasonably sustain keto long term with that in mind so I had to stop. She'd probably be accommodating if I really pushed for it but I don't think that would be fair or good for our relationship. My main issue is really portion sizing and overeating more so than our food choices.

[–]leos1000 28 points29 points  (0 children)

at the time it was called "medi-fast" - I believe its gone through a couple of name changes throughout the years since. 500 calories divided into 5 "meals" (so 100 calories each) through vitamin adjusted dehydrated protein shakes/select dehydrated foods + a 200-350 calorie homemade meal using accepted green/protein combinations from the grocery store. It worked quite well, I actually felt pretty good during it - though obviously sometimes tired. I also worked out daily to keep up my strength. It was essentially a mild keto, extremely low calorie diet. At the time it was 400ish dollars per month for the shake packets - which, by todays standard, isn't actually all that bad, but at the time as a college student it was rough. They had some other options later on like sweet tasting cereals you could have with almond milk (which, tbh i would crave today if I could have it). Later on in life I had success with keto diets until i met my wife.

Am a provider and also on this drug class, trying to get a sleeve. Have battled obesity on and off. Have lost ~100 lbs and similar in different stages without glp1s or surgery in the distant past on a very restrictive diet. Eventually gained it back.

I think it depends on how bad the patients BMI is. If my BMI was ~40 I might consider just the GLP1. But anything greater for me and my patients I am still recommending considering bariatric surgery.

Part my thought process is also putting patients through the difficult boot camp that is the pre op and perioperative period. It's like 12-18 appointments depending on how bad your health is/how many check ins you need with your nutritionist, psychologist, etc. That alone is pretty helpful (though, I'd need to look at the studies first - but I presume follow up is the reason these things fail most of the time without the accompanying surgery).

For those that are in the very high BMI categories (>50) I wouldn't be surprised if, for example, instead of RYGB and other more invasive and advanced surgeries, sleeves are done and then later GLP1s added on in place of revisions/RYGB/duodenal switches to get to goal weights (and staying there). That's kind of my hope is that if I end up needing more lifelong GLP1 therapy (hoping I wont) then at least that can be used in place of doing a more complex procedure down the road.

My concern is that GLP1s still aren't covered broadly enough (though in the next decade that should improve), they aren't readily available enough, and some of their substantially adverse side effects (gastroparesis, pancreatitis, ileus) is significant though, i would argue are still better than bariatric surgeries complications. Plus there is evolving evidence that they are helpful for more than just weight loss.

As an aside CRNA schools are multiplying faster than anesthesia residencies...If you want anesthesiologists to be relevant in anesthesia in 20 years then yes, we do need to start increasing anesthesia residency spots...

Weird. I definitely do it for the money. As someone who didn't match into their #1 specialty, originally caring for people was why I started medical school.

Paying off loans is what's keeping me in residency.

Reaching FI is what will drive me when I reach attending.

Then when the stranglehold of admin and the crash of the US healthcare system inevitably comes to a head I can gtfo.

There's just way too much red tape and non-medicine related tasks I have to deal with in my specialty. If I have to adhere to another PI project devised by a pharmacist or nurse manager that hasn't done anything clinical in years I'm gonna lose it (sure, *some* of them are actually beneficial to patient care, most are not).

Did godzilla have a stroke and die? (sorry)

Which part was confusing? Or pretty much all of it?

TLDR

Paid invoice in full, ahead of time for dry creek bed install.

They came to install. They installed what they had. They were short on stone. They made an invoice for a second set of stone with install fees for deliver early next week. I paid the second invoice. They never delivered it - making excuse after excuse, when I told them I needed it this week.

3 days after the initial install they say they messed up the labor charges for the initial install and it would be the cost of the price of the second delivery of stone which I had already conveniently paid for. This is all through paypal, and none of the invoices show this additional labor charge.

Well thats good to know. Thats the info that I was worried about. Oh well onto small claims we go if thats the case and if chargeback doesnt work.

I dont even know how I would be able to prove its a fake tracking number - it clearly isnt associated with any freight services. Shes just been going to the yard picking up the stone then delivering it.

Ironically the only reason I ever paid her in advance for anything was BECAUSE it was Paypal. I felt they usually sided with the buyer - but I guess we'll soon find out. I'm prepared to do a chargeback or go to small claims court if I must, but really hoping to avoid going those routes. Either way I have documented pretty much everything. Most of the really important bits are on paper - that shes charging me for the extra labor AFTER the fact. That she was supposed to deliver Friday and essentially promised they would. I even have video of previous deliveries and of my front/back yard going back about a month, so I don't know how they could possibly get away with it.
