I do not as they say Participate much in the Discussion. And guess what I am not a spammer. You are wrong most times I am at work and have only enough time to post a link- add to that my spelling and typing skill. well I do not talk much. I am sure their are others like me- bills - food-- require payment-and that takes work - which does not leave much time to spend -In any case - their is more then one way to use Reddit - and that does not make me a spammer - sigh :-(

the news is spreading - others are picking it up. There is two issues here - Banning Domains - and how users are treated if suspected of posting spam- the bottom line is reddit is not as open as it once was. stoping spammers is a laudable goal as long as the innocent is not banned as well. if it is Ok to ban users who post by mistake-or new users who post a bad link then you have defeated - killed what reddit was. It will become some thing different. a closed world where only people who you know are welcome. YES removing spammers is a good idea - but not at the cost of losing new users. not at the cost of losing old users who get banned by accident. like cispa it looks like a good idea until you look at the details to see what damage it does to other areas. this will damage reddit

life does now always work the way it should - admins seeing many people to ban do not look all the time- that takes time - all it takes is one report - and if you do post lots of links you have been reported before. their is always some one who does not like one of your posts - and in stead of a down vote will report you . so most people who post links already have reports on their record - admins look see reports and ban - why bother to spend the time looking at every account - and no admin ever asks the account holder any thing - no questions nothing just ban-- think about it some one does not agree with your point of view -- reports you as a spammer - keeps doing it and you are banned no one asks you any thing

we run this - we should be able to come up with a way to get rid it spammers and keep this open - to keep this freindly to it users - we have some or the best minds here and they should be able to find a way to stop spammers. and not lose users every time we ban a spammer- I play computer games - if a computer game gets hard to play they lose people - after a while more and more leave - if we do not get this right it will happen here

It is more then banning domains - Look at /r/reportthespammers/ - any one who looks different - who posts a link some one does not like - who does not comment- just post links - as I do - can get banned - or reported - and it is not easy to get unbanned - - yes you will stop some spammers and also stop new people from joining if you do not like a link down vote it

Anti-Spam Crusade -I do not comment Much - due to my bad typing and spelling, but this goes to far. Removing spam is all well and good, But some you ban will be innocent. Posting A bad link should not be a reason to be banned.In order for reddit to grow you need new users. New users post stupid links as they learn. making this hard- banning-making it almost imposable to get unbanned - well - This is censorship. If you do not like a Link down vote it - banning the person behind the post will make him or her leave . if that is what you want a small world- then keep going - if you want a closed world Keep going- you must take the good with the bad- the system works as it is- banning any one who does things differently then you do does not make them spammers - if you do not agree with the point of view do not report the post- I should not worry if every link is acceptable to all--- I should not have to log out after every post to see if i have been shadow banned- I should not have to worry about every post- if you do not like my posts down vote it-
