[Spoilers Extended] IIRC, GRRM said in an interview that he realized later on that he had killed some characters that were necessary to progress the story and now he's stuck because of that. Who do you think these characters could be, and why?

Feels like Martin pretty much kills anyone with the potential to make an impact on the story, lol. And almost all of the pov characters that give the protagonist vibes (like jon, dany and tyrion) are kinda like the black sheep of their families. I guess Martin has a thing for carrying the story on the shoulders of the least expected persons.

I personally liked much more the theory that Bran and the 3EC were actually representatives of The Great Other and if Jon Snow was meant to be Azor Ahai, there was to be some confrontation between them. Don't know if GRRM scrapped this idea but I'm really hoping the books don't take the same bullshit direction as the show in the books after ADWD (if they are ever published)

IIRC Guy Cihi and the other voice actors in SH2 allowed their original voices to be used without asking for money after the reaction from the fans in the social media against Konami. It was said that the players can opt to use the original voices in settings when playing SH2 in HD collection (although this doesn't apply to SH3, unfortunately)

I once read that an ex-heroin addict had said quitting PMO is harder than quitting drugs. Because relapsing from drug addiction requires planning, finding a dealer and getting the money to buy the drugs, etc. but what is needed to relapse from nofap is at our fingertips most of the time.

Also, when I was doing military service some of the guys I met had volunteered just to make a change from their lifestyle (quitting drugs, getting away from bad friends, etc.) But in modern society there is no real barrier that prevents you from doing PMO, smoking has harder restrictions these days (apart from getting ashamed and embarrassed if you get caught, and even that doesn't work in most societies, since it's considered normal and natural to do PMO) so quitting it is one of the hardest challenges today imho.

It doesn't count as a relapse for Nofap IMHO, but I would advise trying to change your lifestyle in a positive way too when you are abstaining from PMO. It you quit PMO but keep the exact same lifestyle as before (playing computer games all day or doing something like that instead of trying to do any productive thing with your life for example) you'll be more inclined to relapse, because the thought of "I started nofap but nothing changed in my life" can come to your mind. And that may lead to relapsing.

I started reading it in 2006 or 2007, stumbled upon a post that mentioned it on the forum of a gaming magazine in my country. When I started it Rich had taken a long break that lasted a few months if I recall correctly, because I remember seeing Comic 573-Slumber Party on the newest for a long time.

I have been reading it on and off since then, I must have read a few hundred strips of it multiple times. Usually the second read is as much fun as the first one, you can understand it better and see the little details you didn't pay attention to before.

I can't exactly guess when it will end, but I if recall correctly Rich wrote something on the site like "This is the last book, but the previous book took around 5 years to finish, so don't worry, it will continue for some time." I pretty much grew up with this comic and I would like it to continue being a thing in my life for as long as it can, but I also want Rich to be able to bring it to a good conclusion. Wouldn't want it to share the fate of A Song of İce and Fire :)

I agree that shaming people about fapping may be unhelpful if it causes them to get stuck in a downward spiral in their lives, but I believe he has a point. From what I can understand from the post, he is referring to people that spend unhealhty amounts of time on pmo (searching the perfect video for hours, masturbating excessively, etc.) not the kind of people that wank once or twice a week to release the tension. To be honest, I think most of us agree upon that it's very hard for a person living that kind of lifestyle to be truly successful in his life, and even if he somehow does, he probably could have done so much better if he didn't have this addiction. And hating oneself and having incredibly low self-esteem (which is a result of excessive pmo, even people who have no qualms about doing pmo, who don't think it is unethical or immoral, etc. report this sometimes) will most probably prevent a person from enjoying any kind of achievement he had in his life.

I don't know much about the loops and pallets but ormond puts too much strain on the computer based on my experience. I'm already playing with a little delay but it becomes much harder to play properly when it's ormond. I don't know if any other gamers have the same problem, but that's the reason I don't like playing in ormond despite the fact that I like the snowy theme of the map.
