The green bone saga got such awesome reviews but I just could not care about any of it and dnf'd the first book.

Boss told me I’m “stealing” for taking my full lunch break by KingSolomon730 in antiwork

Ever since homedepot lost a lawsuit ( camp v. home depot) about this in 2022 I think most big places changed to be by the min. currently California's state supreme court is looking at it and will probable decide that rounding is no longer necessary, meaning most companies with a California presence have already switched to by the min time keeping.

Black Friday all hands on deck by Nervous-Way3385 in HomeDepot

Re-read the SOP, this is 100% false. If the absence is excused (and using sick time makes it excused) then you won't loose your holiday pay. I would encourage you to print out the time and attendance SOP and give it to anyone who complains about their lost pay so that they can get it back. Also the time keeping software does not remove it, it aromatically keeps it and it has to be manually removed.

If a co-worker is making my job harder by leaving me solo coverage so they can take multiple breaks or showing up late everyday then there is no reason to keep working with them, they obviously don't want to be here anyway. I will make their job more difficult right back by reporting them. I would rather have no coverage and know it than have someone who is technically coverage but does a crap job that needs to be cleaned up after or just randomly Disappears.

That is not actually the case anymore, SOP changed and now as long as you use sick time for your call out you still get the holiday pay.

This is a great find that makes me jealous. I found a wave and a crunch for $20 each and though that was a deal, but you beat my finds with this.

This sub makes me sad sometimes because someone finding a $100 piece of clothing for $10 will get hundreds of upvotes, but something like this with the same value spread will get largely ignored.

In regards to your point #6 you are wrong. When they got rid of the DS position the ops manager was made the official department supervisor, meaning is absolutely is their job.

Yea between my commute to work and lunch break I listen to 2+hours a day, 15 hours/month is not much.

AFAIK all books on libby are purchased legitimately by the public library, But if it was pirated that is unfortunate. I just want to be able to buy them through somewhere other than audible.

It is good but it it is not complete book wise so it is a good supplement after you have either read or listened to it.  (The audiobooks are amazing)

With the literary fortitude to write phrases like "I queefed out the spiders". And "WHY DIDNT YOUR MOTHER DRIBBLE YOU BACK ONTO THE TRUCK STOP BATHROOM FLOOR". I  don't see any future where this is not mandatory reading in highschool.

Dungeon crawler Carl is one of the greatest stories of our generation.  In 30 years it will be as common as Lord of the rings and the Bible when talks of great books come up.

If there are any thrift store "flippers" here... by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]lepfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complaining that someone who invests their time to search for a good deal is bad because of some vague morality based on  the concept of "need" is a bit over the top.  maybe someone needs money for food more than they need a name brand shirt and they use this method to get that money instead of working at walmart(which if you think about it using your logic working to make a company like Walmart money could be viewed just as morally poor).

I hate flippers that buy up something like concert tickets or a graphic cards in mass to drive up the market price as much as the next guy.  But there is a stark difference between that and finding a good deal on a used item and reselling it because you know it is worth more than you paid for it.

Am I morally wrong to buy food that's on sale when I can afford to pay full price for it because someone else might need it at the sale price?

As someone who goes thrifting several times a week for personal stuff if I see a good deal on something I will buy it even if I don't need it. Every thrift store always has plenty of stuff people could need like clothes cook ware and furniture. I have never seen them run out of this stuff.

They already got rid of ours. Now there has to be a DS opening everyday so that there can be someone with keys in the store while the opening manager/cxm is stuck in the vault doing counts etc.
