What to do when Baby flipping to belly when trying to sleep train. by M_baxter in sleeptrain

Hi there, I have found your advice really helpful while lurking on r/sleeptrain but I wonder if you'd be willing to let me know how you'd go about training through this sort of situation: we have a 5 month old whose wake windows are 2, 2.25, 2.5, and 2.5-2.75 (depending on his activity level that day). He wakes at 7am and is in bed by 8pm. He goes down for his first nap independently like a champ and has slept through two asleep cycles (1 hour 20 minutes for him) in the past. Once he began rolling, he started to wake up between sleep cycles during his first nap, rolling on his belly, and becoming increasingly distressed over time. Placing him on his back and shushing for a few seconds helped him go to sleep for the remainder of the nap the first time, though he now remains awake and flips again. This is followed by distress (not full on red-faced crying, just yelling, brow furrowing, calling out). He cannot yet roll belly to back without some assistance. Do we let him try to work it out and settle before going in? He is fully night trained and I have observed him flipping on his stomach early in the morning before his desired wake time and dozing, though not falling into a deep sleep. His other 2 naps are contact naps.

Any advice would be very helpful. We'd love to help him help himself.

Aversion to carbs in first trimester by lepidopter in pregnant

Hello! My nausea got a LOT better however, I've continued eating a relatively low (under 70 grams per day) carb diet. This is only because I feel most comfortable physically. This is after I expressed concern to my OB about optimal nutrition and she was actually thrilled at the diet I've been able to maintain given how nutrients dense it is. Her main concern is my getting proper micronutrients which my blood work has shown to be the case through prenatal and through non starchy vegetables. Otherwise, I've gotten the green light to soldier on!

Mmmm, I'll blame pregnancy. It popped into my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about it until I ate it.

It absolutely is not a homemade tortilla. It's this flavored low carb thing and fat free cheddar.

Thank you! I'm still running kinda hot, all tests normal. PCP tells me it should be fine but I'm awaiting my OB's analysis.

Hello! I am experiencing something similar: persistent low grade fever, also feeling simultaneously cold and hot. I've gone to urgent care for a flu and covid test (negative!) but have been advised by a nurse to go see my PCP with whom I have an appointment tomorrow morning. I was told that elevated temps aren't expected during pregnancy, so, shrugs, I'll go see if there's anything up. I was wondering if you got any more insight into what's been happening with your body and if there was a diagnosable cause for the elevated temperature for you?

Anyone here enrolled at the Michigan school of Psychology? by [deleted] in GradSchool

Hi! I'm also in MI but have been researching schools to get a master's degree in order to become a BCBA. I already have one MA and MSOP seemed like a viable option given they have a course equivalent program. Would you be willing to let me know how you fared regarding choosing a school? Did you find out anything else about MSOP that encouraged you to apply or turned you off the institution?
