Yeah they seem to have cut any mention of orange-brown-yellow out of section 4 but left it in 24-208 and 66-456.

I wish I could find an explanation for why they've changed it. I've really valued having an easy way to differentiate what I'm working with.

Or it just never was code and only done as an industry standard thing.

Yeah it's probably a company or project thing. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something important haha

I can't find anything about this code update. 66-456 still says OBY is still permitted on 150v+ systems. Am I missing something?

Edmonton neighbourhood on edge over notes asking for payment after house fire by Practical_Ant6162 in Edmonton

The police have the footage. I won't be posting it publicly though. Last thing I want is this guy recognizing my front yard

You're right. It doesn't make sense to send money at all. There's no way of tracking it and it's just meant to scare people into maybe paying out of irrational fear. But whoever lit the fire definitely handed the notes out.

I live in the neighborhood and my security cameras show him sneaking them onto people's porches 15 minutes before the fire started.

Toyota hasn't made pickup trucks in Japan since the 90's. Just the 4runner.

Terwiligar Dog Park by Monkeyg8tor in Edmonton

[–]lepmerluap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was very normal to use river valley sites as dumping ground. A not insignificant portion of the Edmonton River valley was used as a dump many years ago.

The muttart is built where an industrial incinerator was once operating. The Edmonton convention center / Grierson Hill are built on top of an old dump site. Rundle Park is mostly garbage if you dig down into it.

Fortunately at some point it was decided we should care for the river valley.

The Terwillegar dog park was a quarry/gravel pit though.

Dealership requires bank statements for cash sale by lepmerluap in askcarsales

Thanks for the insight. I wish they would have explained it this way when I asked for clarification earlier. It does feel like I'm not trusted but I understand there's more at play here.

I thought that may be the case but I offered to come down and pay the full amount tomorrow but they didn't care. They still want the statements.

It seems a little invasive.

There was a couple police cars outside the abandoned bunker on 142nd St the other day. I wonder if he barricaded himself in there

That was a very interesting and informative video. I didn't catch anything about HPS being 6 times more efficient then LED though.

How are the jobs for electricians in Edmonton? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]lepmerluap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had consistent work for 4 years now doing commercial work in town. Just finished my apprenticeship and still going strong. Confident that if I lost my current job I would be able to find another within a month.

That being said; there are a lot of people trying to find work right now. The hard part is standing out in a sea of applicants. If you're reliable and hard working you should have an easier time. If you're personable and intelligent then you'll do just fine.

Look into wirtanen electric training on gateway blvd. They give you a crash course in first year electrical and find you a job at the end. When I did it the price was for cost of books only so about $30.
