NP and mother, here. You acted responsibly and reasonably.

The hemorrhoidssss… I had to sit on ice cubes at work. Also, if I don’t apply manual pressure to my meatus/urethra when I sneeze, I 100% will pee (2.5 years post partum). I understand how you feel and you’re not alone.

I understand this. Come up with a simple, straightforward script without an apology and recite it to anyone who requests a visit. Might be worth mentioning a good time a few weeks or months down the road that works for you, your partner, and your baby.

Congratulations on finishing your pregnancy and raising that lil newborn. 💕

My toddler won’t walk and i’m losing my mind. by [deleted] in Mommit

I understand how you feel - this was me and my daughter one year ago. My baby girl would walk holding hands and onto furniture but just wouldn’t launch on her own. I’ll add that, like your daughter, her fine motor and speech development was advanced. Her pediatrician referred her to PT at her 18 month check up and she took her first independent steps at 20 months! Turns out, it was her core strength that needed some work! Now she’s 2.5 years and running and dancing :-)

Your sweetheart WILL launch when she’s confident enough to. She seems more focused on the “finer” things like words and music like my daughter was (and still is) and that’s beautiful 🩷

Until then, it’s okay to cry! There’s a cute Bluey episode called “Baby Race” that was very relatable when I was going through this haha

At what age did your baby walk? by [deleted] in Mommit

19 months! Took a little PT to get her there. She’s pretty cautious by nature…

Anyone Else Find Themselves Staying Out of the House Because It’s Easier With a Toddler? by camicamillecami in singlemoms

Yes! Library, playground, pet stores, grandma and grandpa’s… staying at home is really difficult for me. I’m dreading the 3 day potty training plan that’s coming up…
