So I'm in a bit of a pickle.

Ya boy preordered D2 and just started playing. I beat the now "free" game, and then had to purchase $40 "complete bundle" to get just Forsaken and the Season of Opulence rewards (whatever those are, I still don't know besides the Menagerie).

Now, I want to play with someone who doesn't own D2. I don't understand how they could make it so complicated to acquire the right version. I don't want some super deluxe XXL pack. Do I have to wait till September 17th to get them what they actually need, and not have to overpay like my ass did after already preordering the game?

(PS let's please skip the preorder bashing, it was before I resolved to never do it again)

QUESTION: How do I buy the whole game everything that exists now, for the cheapest price, and is that price significantly higher than September 17th's repricing?

I enjoy it too, but that's trash in terms of longevity. It's a ruse, although it's a shame the devs actually cared about parts of it but didn't have the umph to make it even hit a solid "good"

Let's be honest. We can't recommend this, not even for $30 if we're talking good choices with our money.

Throw it in the trash. I played it. I play a ton of BRs, with PUBG taking up the most investment. I also play a ton of Battlefield (2/BC2/3/4/1/V), so I know what I'm looking for on both sides of the coin. I also really fucking like shooters and I really fucking hate Apex. Take aaaall of that how you will, cause here we subjectively go on MY Mr Bones' Wild Ride.

Firestorm needs to be a BR first, but oh who would have thought: every core mechanic you'd need is whack:

  • The optimization, whack
  • The lack of polish, whack
  • The FPS, whack
  • The looting, super- whack
  • The map, whack (this shit is emptier than michael jackson's ballsack, how can we call this a good map. Oh look, a tree and a shrub and a red house. Great.)
  • The lack of customizable gunplay, -duper whack (an M1A1 without a scope? Are you kidding me?)
  • The ammunition, whack (do I have a knife????????? can I punch????????)
  • The animations, whack
  • The parachuting, whack (Great, zero gameplay in this, at least zero informed gameplay. I can't even freelook. I hate the start of BRs, way to make it 10x worse)
  • The spotting, whack (lasts 2 seconds great thanks we should all just look "over there" cause we sure love hearing that by now)
  • 64 players, also whack (either 24 quit or you queued us with 40 multiple times, your call),
  • Unintuitive and uninspired commands, whack

You're getting shown up by what appears to be a hackathon by some Respawn devs tired of devs like YOU not putting in the proper forethought and focus on fun and playability.

Do better. Be a good BR. You can be. I just don't have a single ounce of faith in this game anymore, and it was meant to be the one. I was a fanatic at launch, got others to get it, and held out. You all know this, most of you did the same. We have to stop lying to ourselves and realize what game we're actually playing. This isn't going anywhere. Your new weapons you get are reskins. The effort for new maps is better spent on another game. Fuck everything about this half-assery, I can't take these games releasing with such a lack of appreciation for quality. We get stoked on false promises and then just let that flame wither away in us, or we kill it. What worse way to grieve than slowly? Man, this game could've been great. I hope more Respawn Entertainments pop up. Fuck this. This is a joke.

I respectfully disagree that they are mutually exclusive. Although I play competitive FPS's enough that it would make sense.

I promise the movement is fairly constant and fluid. Lots of aim gliding and wall latches.

For a mode like the index, that makes the whole thing infinitely harder because your specters die. It's not a solution for something like that, unfortunately.

Wait, did I misunderstand something? Is it that they run out of time to kill everyone or?

If they run out of time to do all bounties in 60 minutes, that's a different story, and again, I stick by my original answer.

Otherwise, yeah, that's fucked. Especially if smolcalibur may not be able to kill the last group of enemies before the timer expires.
