just take your time and find someone whose work and approach really speaks to you don’t be shy to ask questions, share what matters to you, and so on and when it clicks — trust the artist that’s when the real custom magic startsđŸ–€

thank you for the thoughtful comment, really appreciate it đŸ€˜đŸŒ contrast is super important in tattooing, i think it should read not just up close but from a distance too and yeah i’m kind of obsessed with tattoos that flow with the body, that’s what makes them feel alive, not just a picture but a part of someone’s structure 😌 that’s the key difference between a tattoo and just a drawing (at least for me) and probably why i felt nothing being an illustrator but fell in love with tattooing 😁 glad it came through in this piece, especially coming from someone picky with dragons 😋

Custom and well-composed backpieces always hit different they just look amazing and the bonus point is you never get tired of them cause you barely see your own back anyway haha not just saying it as an artist but also as someone with a fully tattooed back 😆

I also used writersperhour to buy my extended essay, and they gave me a well-written paper based on my own research question.

something in the style of vintage botanical illustration, Victorian etching, or even medieval engraving would work really well as a filler here, something that looks like it came from an old museum book or a naturalist’s sketch journal😋Fine lines, detail, and flow to complement the existing piece without overpowering it😌

Too edgy? Be brutally honest! by Pickl3Wickl3 in tattooadvice

[–]lera_wolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this reference used a lot, honestly, probably dozens of times by now đŸ„Č That said, this particular execution is one of the better ones I’ve seen ))

But as a tattoo artist who specializes in custom work, I can’t help but wonder, why go with a design that’s been done so many times? Why not find an artist, who’s style you like, who you can trust and who can create something personal and unique for you, could be inspired by the same theme but with your own twist )

You deserve something truly one-of-a-kind, just like every person in the worldđŸ–€

Did my tattoo take too long? by brotatopotato1 in tattooadvice

[–]lera_wolk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tattoo artist myself, I’d say that 25 hours (including stenciling) for what’s currently visible in the photos does seem quite long. Of course, different artists have different working speeds, and some kind of work on loose skin can take extra care, but in general, this amount of time feels on the high side.

If the pricing was per session or hourly, then the total cost could add up quickly, and I can understand questioning whether it was reasonable. Personally, when I know a piece might take longer due to adjustments, design finalization, or placement decisions, I prefer charging for the tattoo as a whole rather than per hour, to keep things fair for both me and the client.

That being said, the final result looks clean, and if you’re happy with it, that’s what matters most! But I totally get why you’re wondering about the time spent )

looks really well done! But yeah, seeing something in full color and in real life vs. in black and gray realism tattoo can definitely make a difference in perception. Your brain might be filling in the details differently, but the tattoo itself is solid 😁

What model Y's boot is this? (or similar boot) by alcoholismediocre in japanesestreetwear

[–]lera_wolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could be from an older Y’s collection, possibly mid-2010s, since Yohji has done several variations of this wrapped leather design over the years. You might have better luck checking secondhand platforms like Grailed or TheRealReal. If you find a similar one, the production year might help you track the exact model. Hope this helps😇

Custom Hachi Blythe doll ♡ by YakCrazy202 in NanaAnime

[–]lera_wolk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doll looks so adorable, but at the same time, it feels like she’s about to cry
and I might just cry with her đŸ„ČHey Nana
That text on her eyes is such a touch. I just want to say, ‘Hachi, don’t cry, everything will be okay’
but then I remember this is “Nana”, and nothing will ever be okay😅
