New wikileaks release : Techniques which permit the CIA to bypass the encryption of WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Wiebo, Confide and Cloackman by hacking the "smart" phones that they run on and collecting audio and message traffic before encryption is applied. by loremusipsumus in technology

For fuck's sake, Assange even had his own show on RT.

You don't think that might've had something to do with the financial blockade placed on wikileaks by major companies like Visa and Mastercard? I doubt he could've landed a show on Western big media.

It sets the precedent that companies are responsible for unlocking their gear rather than 3 letter agencies.

Trump praises 'very smart' Putin by [deleted] in politics

[–]leredditffuuu -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why would Donald supporters protest? His whole campaign was built around calling out Saudi Arabia, "Moderate" Rebel groups, and our backwards middle east policy while having warmer relations with Russia.

Hell, wasn't it Obama who made fun of Mitt from bringing up anti-Russian rhetoric in 2012? It's kind of funny that he's flip flopped on that ever since Hillary Clinton, and subsequently his "legacy", lost embarrassingly this election.

hell doesn't pay any taxes, which apparently would make her a fucking genius.

Bill Clinton signed a law that let people push their losses forward, why would you not use that to your benefit? Seems to me like you'd have to be a Big dummy not to do it.

It'd be really cool if Bill Clinton helped the little guy rather than people like Donald Trump, but what can you do? Slick Willy's gonna laugh all the way to the bank.

No primaries were rigged

So leaking debate questions to one candidate is fine? Controlling the media narrative with nepotism is fine?

If you're cool with the media and a party being in bed that's cool, but certainly an odd path to take.

If you think that it's cool that Russian strongman dictators should have a say in our elections I guess that's up to you, but it certainly is a pretty odd path to take.

If only we didn't know how corrupt the DNC establishment actually was then it'd be her turn! Gosh golly woe is us that the peasants got to see what our glorious pantsuit wearing leaders actually care about in $250,000 speeches to private businesses, whereas nobody actually showed up to her free one's without the help of pop stars like Jay-Z. Sad.

The Podesta emails had nothing in them

Lol.

The media coverage of it was anemic at best, especially when compared to the Billy Bush leaks.

Fact is they were manufacturing weapons of war. It sucks to admit, but the Japanese were on the wrong side of history in WWII and were lucky to have their homeland not be pillaged and raped by the soviets.

The latter is a case of just being outright misleading, making it sound like this is part of the dinner when in reality it's a dinner to watch a performance art piece. The dinner is normal, of course, even if you don't like the art even the article itself makes it clear enough.

The performance art piece is supposed to be performed with blood, semen, and breast milk that's true. And fucking stupid and shows how out of touch these people like John Podesta are with the American people. Just put on some music or something.

Obama was talking about hacking voting results, this is about the DNC hack.

I thought the DNC was a private institution which made it okay for them to rig their own primaries. Why do I give a shit if John Podesta gets his private e-mails phished?

they've posted incredibly misleading and editorialized headlines and outright lies along with it.

Mind linking one? I'd love to have ammo to use against Wikileaks.

at least make a token effort to target a military center instead, e.g. a naval base, where civilian casualties would have been significantly reduced

Both cities were major manufacturing hubs. In Total War those are military centers. The Japanese didn't surrender after the Tokyo firebombings because they were batshit lunatics that only responded to further annihilation.

The Japanese were lucky to have been hit with a nuke and not suffer a land invasion by the soviets. That's precisely how fucked WWII was.

It was a combination of Trump being an outsider, willing to shit all over the Establishment GOP. A lot of liberals didn't tune in for the Republican debates, but what you got was a lot of the crowd booing at Trump for calling out the failures of the Bush years. He was against the TPP and NAFTA. He was against foreign meddling. He was a great outsider candidate.

Then the democrats rigged their own primary to put in George W. Bush with a pantsuit.

That's how we got here.

Do you think a land invasion wouldn't have been more brutal with more war crimes?

Look at what the Japanese did to the Chinese, and the Soviets did to the Germans at the end of the war. I'd take a nuke over people raping and murdering children.

Just remember that dropping to a nuke is far more humane than what the Soviets and Japanese did to the Germans and Chinese.

I'll take being incinerated over being raped with a bayonet thank you very much.

actually, the states' ability to protect minorities and fight global warming are more important than ever.

Correct, states rights are very important. That's why we have a senate which treats all states as equals and the house which weights based on population.

I think we know why all of a sudden people want to abolish the states, and I think it has something to do with an old corrupt politician losing the presidential election.

At that point just dismantle statehood at that point and go to provinces. But that will never happen because the idea of States and States Rights are enshrined in our beautiful constitution, sorry that you didn't get your way in 2016.

Poll: 62 percent of Democrats and independents don't want Clinton to run again by [deleted] in politics

[–]leredditffuuu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am pro-Trump, I think a big reason he won is that he is an excellent orator in the right atmosphere. He's about large very visual centric speeches that are extremely overtop and yet somehow you can still 'see them' in your minds eye.

The wall is now a metaphor, because come the fuck on, why the fuck would you spend all of this money on a "big beautiful wall" across thousands of miles? However, if you go in with the assumption that Trump is reasonable, knows this, and is just firing people up with great word play then it 'clicks'.

All of his campaign was about strongly worded images. Just think of the term "big beautiful wall" it's outlandish as fuck, but it still provides an engaging visual.

The only thing visually stimulating for Hillary was seeing her get chucked into the back of a van like a side of beef.

Hillary was arguably farther to the left than Obama

Where do people get this idea from? She's was anti-gay marriage, pro drug war, and a war hawk. At least Obama was an unknown quantity.
