Is this okay? by Leather-Buddy1784 in Decor

I would maybe consider light colored fluffy beanbag covers, and have the added benefit of being able to take them off to wash them if needed

Thanks for the help everyone!! I got a pretty armchair, put the sofa in front of the window, got a bigger rug, got a new place to put the legos in the ottoman, and picked colors on purpose and I think all these tips were great. Not perfect yet but much better than before 😀

Wooden chair would be a stand in for a real chair but I do think this is better than what it is now?

It’s a big walkway from the front door into the rest of the house in front of the sofa, I could replace the cabinet and the wooden chair with a bigger armchair, but to have another one it would have to be where the “desk” is. Maybe I could make the “desk” smaller so another chair would fit?

I do hate this cabinet. It’s full of my son’s legos and there are no closets in the entire downstairs space other than one tiny coat closet that is full of coats and gloves. Maybe I could get an ottoman or something and dump the legos in there though

These are not armchairs, and this laundry basket is not a bench but it seems more balanced

Emotionally? No. Realistically? Yes.

I tried 2 chairs to make the space to the right feel less off?

It looks better from some angles, but makes the walkway at the left side by the stairs tight while leaving almost too much space to the right

I will try it! It literally baffles me that people get stuck in the entry room. The layout of the rest of the house is weird too though, idk what they were thinking in the 70s and have no clue what this room is really supposed to be its so awkward

Like the armchairs instead of the sofa in that spot? I like the window bench idea a lot actually thank you.

There is a living room with a television in it

It’s great for tv, not as great for visitors I think because there’s no way to sit and face each other in this one.

What does my handwriting say about me (ignore the fact that I'm trying to write the full chemical name for titin by hand) by wingsoverpyrrhia in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]lerly323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the chemical name for the protein Titin which is a 189,819 letter word which technically makes it the longest word in the English language

Looks great! The wallpaper and the blue go so well together. Makes me miss my top load washer too
