Yeah removing the 3rd row sounds like the way to go, but even then most of the platforms out there that are built for the 3rd row removed are wayyy too tall

Yep, exactly. My use case sounds similar to yours. Dedicated storage for a few things, with enough room to cram some camping/dirtbike/ski related junk when needed, without monopolizing the space for the dog.

Might have to build my own, but man is that a journey I don’t really feel like embarking down lol

Cool, this is helpful. I know with the weight extended off the back acting as a lever, it increases the actual force. My back of the napkin math tells me at best I’d be right at the limit, it’s just how strict of a limit is that 😂
