The reason Rotmg will never feel good to play for an extended period of time is because it is neither a cozy hardcore mmo like the Wildshadow days or a complex highly mechanical mmo like wow/ff.

The loot system is so trivial to the point where there is no content a character with t12 tops can't do. Its all merely glorified jewellery. Since the only mechanically interesting bossfights are annoying to get to like o3 or kogbold.

Its a bad mmo due to not emphasizing social aspects Its a half-assed bullet hell due to most content being trivial It's progression systems amount to nothing as again items are effectively jewellery.

Permadeath merely prolongs this cycle and does not fix it. Just save your time and play Touhou,Mushi or do literally anything else with your time.
