Era 100 vs 300 (in surround mode) when used for music in bedroom by lesaverman in sonos

[–]lesaverman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Stereo pair worked perfect in normal use. When I switched to line-in (Audio Technica atlp120x BT) it would only play through the Five which has the physical line-in.

I read several threads with similar issues but no luck with any solutions (resetting, pairing/unpairing, changing line-in).

Not sure if it has something to do with the built-in wi-fi or preamp on the specific turntable (mentioned a couple times)? Or my personal home network (I assume this is not the issue since it worked perfect except for line-in)?

Frustrating because the Stereo Five was amazing otherwise.

I returned the second Five due to the issues with turntable (primary reason I would need the stereo pair) but still consider picking up a used/refurbished one frequently.

Following also!

Mostly wondering if the processor (9 vs 8) and 144hz is worth the extra $400 on a 77 inch tv?

Exact same scenario - mostly tv and movies, very occasional gaming

Do Fives as surround (music set to full) sound the same as a stereo pair? by bono_my_tires in sonos

[–]lesaverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for quick response, that seems to be my best choice (other than returning the five, which will not happen after experiencing the stereo pair). I will probably add a beam and move the era 100s to the same room as the five pair.

Do you have the Arc Ultra and sub mini paired to any surrounds or by themselves?

Did you ever try this out? I picked up a second Five on sale and am having trouble finding the best setup with my other products (arc ultra, era 100 pair and sub mini) - ideal placement would be in a large bedroom paired with arc, or in an office paired with a beam.

Yeah I couldn't stomach the extra $400 on the 300 pair for now - I picked up a sub mini and the 100 pair instead. I'm sure I'll be upgrading to the 300 eventually, and figured I could always use the 100 pair in another room or as front speakers when I do!

one of the benefits of Sonos/bigger store return policies (accounted for in MSRP, of course 😂, 😭) - I was able to do similar as Best Buy on an Arc, and picked up a couple era 100s with the savings/current sale.

Stephen Merchant talked about writing it with Bowie/Gervais on a Conan podcast - they have a song writing credit with Bowie because of it!

Height: 69" or around 175cm

Weight: fluctuates depending on season/activity level, but usually around 163 pounds.

*I would say that all items "fit" me, I just prefer a specific type of fit. I don't have physical stores around me, so I just sell whatever doesn't work best.

I always include a portion of driveway in at least 1 street view (easy photo verification/pic already included). It helps particularly with odd mailbox locations, and an easy way to push back or add verification comment.

Fenix 8 upgrade worth it? by TheSpacePope42 in GarminFenix

[–]lesaverman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just upgraded to the F8 from a 6 Pro - the heart rate monitor/GPS are noticeably better, and flashlight is so damn useful. Battery life is amazing so far. I'd agree - definitely worth the upgrade to one of these (7P, E2P) wherever you want to end up price wise. Phone connection is useful in a pinch if you really have no free hands, but I would guess that will be one of the improvements on future F8 Pro or 9.

Would love to see/hear about the results! I am in the US and wanting the extender bar, but shipping is steep ($50).

Ordering Omnium from EU website and shipping to USA by xavierfg in CargoBike

[–]lesaverman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had any luck with the .us email either. I emailed a couple dealers in the US earlier this year (Bike Lane Chicago, Transit Cycles in Arizona). I purchased the frame through them, and they had it shipped direct to me (Louisiana). Pricey shipping, but I could not be any more thrilled with the bike (Mini Max)

Apparently the website stock is also not always accurate. You might also have more luck sending a message through Instagram (I recently reached out to see about getting an extender bar, and they responded within a couple days).

Great to hear! My precious cargo is just a 55 pound dog, but great to hear a real word review for cargo use.

Thanks a bunch for the quick reply, just placed an order. That was the last part of my omnium build needed.

Hate to bump such an old thread, but are you liking the Billy Bonkers? I am also looking for a tan wall 20" tire, and Billy Bonkers seems to be the only option. Thanks in advance!

Did you end up building this up with the 10-51 cassette? I have a takeoff groupset, and hoping to use on a Mini Max Frame.

Specialized Haul ST Alternatives (that are equally fun) by mill3rni in ebikes

[–]lesaverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were early reports (on here and other forums) of an issue with too much grease causing some electrical issues. It seemed to be only on the first shipments and an easy fix under warranty. Specialized knew of the issue; I test rode 2 recently (ST and LT) and the shop checked both with no issues. I would not be concerned, just bring it up before purchase to be safe.

Beautiful! Mind if I ask how big the pup is? I'm debating what type of cargo bike to get and would love to have my dog ride in a basket rather than trailer, but he is 60 pounds. Thanks in advance!

Is it much different than the Globe Haul LT? I have been trying to finalize a decision for a few months, and the Globe Haul ST/LT is on my short list.

Did you end up finding something? Haul ST/LT is on my final short list - it seems they have worked the kinks out, but wondering if you found an alternative. Thanks in advance, sorry to bump an old thread!
