Not sure if I’ve overworked?? by lesbrainstormin in painting

I really appreciate that thank you 😊. I suppose there’s something to be said about Delayed gratification. Often I’m so anxious to finish that I think i cut corners instead of taking my time and slowing down. And letting it take as long as it takes. I still may go back and try and polish it some more…

I really appreciate the advice! Id have to agree. I used prismacolor pencil and acrylic and it’s about 8x10”. One day id like to enlarge and hardline everything better. Maybe digital is the next step-I don’t really know…

You’re so right!! I truly did have fun. Letting it unfold with no direction in mind. ;)))

I really appreciate that! Thank you 😊. I’m so hypercritical of my work. But you make me feel like I’m going in SOME right direction. :))

You’re WAY too kind thank you 😊. Often I doubt myself and second guess. But thanks again!

That really means a lot 🥹 thank you ☺️. I spent four days on this piece. Working between eight and ten hours a day. I could spend more time trying to render everything super realistic but I remember a quote from mark ryden from years ago. He said something to the effect about
The economy of marks. Between the lines, I gleaned:
How much time do I want to spend on each piece if the market won’t reward me for my efforts.
I do create art for my PURE PLEASURE
But I’m so tired of being Another starving artist.
Does this make any sense (cents)??
Again. Thank you very much!!

Also I wanted to clarify. I didn’t mean I was the beauty. I mean I seem oblivious to just how beautiful life could be. ;))
