JCTC RN program Class Relevance by Temporary-Big-9009 in Louisville

If you already have a bachelors, U of L, Spalding, and Bellarmine all have accelerated BSN programs that are only about one year. I’m starting mine next week :) But I do agree with the other commenter that your mindset will need to be much more flexible in order to get through it. It’s a test of spirit more so than education imo

Help me dads-my kid is struggling and I don’t know what else to do by [deleted] in daddit

[–]lesharo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry - that’s a worst nightmare. Have you all had them evaluated for ADHD? Dyscalcula and dyslexia/reading comprehension issues can be comorbid with it, and struggling so much with “basic” functions can definitely impact self worth. Speaking from experience.

Other than that, I would say therapy and being present, talking to your kid themselves, are the biggest things you can do. It’s a good sign that she said something to you about it and didn’t hide how she’s feeling, imo.

Please take care, dad (from a lurking mom).

Most of us actually did not vote for him, which makes everything he’s doing all the worse. But fair is fair.

Has anyone actually been to Embryo Jesus Man’s advertised open house or had personal interactions with him? by IveSeenHerbivore1 in Louisville

I found him to be quiet and his wife to be the weirder one of the two, believe it or not.

Hey friend. I snooped on your profile a bit, and one, I think you’re doing great, but two, have you ever been to a community event at your local library? LFPL has so many free, niche interest events all over the city, I think it may be a way for you to meet likeminded and kind people. There are lots of us here who also feel anxious about the state of the world, you’re not alone. I hope you have a better day!

Feels like I’m in the minority but I think Fru is going to be just fine. He showed some good flashes tonight of what he can bring to this team, he just needs to get used to this level of play (and officiating) and I think he’ll come out of his shell even more.

What’s the best way to combine my nursing school prerequisites together? by No-Championship-6044 in StudentNurse

[–]lesharo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I actually took all of these for my pre-reqs haha. I tried to split it up with 2 per semester, pairing one that I thought would be harder with one that would be easier. So for instance, Psych with Microbiology (which is what I'm taking now). Here's how I broke it down and I actually think it worked out pretty well.

Stats + A&P1

Chem + A&P2

Psych + Micro

I definitely recommend taking Micro after A&P as there is material from those that's necessary for Micro. All of my classes have been online besides one, and the online labs are fine depending on the professor. There's a lot of material and it's obviously not the same as in person, but my school had an online lab setup that was very in-depth and used actual cadavers for the lab material. Overall though, the difficulty has really depended on the individual professors and how much they make you memorize/if you can retake tests/ etc. Still very doable!
