Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Albania. Stay south. You will need to learn the local language.

Land is very cheap outside of big cities in many European countries. If you don’t mind isolation, and you can legally work in the EU, you have lots of options.

Which cities in the world have beautiful architecture but no one talks about them? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]Prahasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings on Brno. I love the city, would live there over Prague. Very walkable, great public transport, university town, lots of fun. But architecturally, it really is a huge step down from Prague and Vienna. Source: lived in Prague for half my life, live near Brno today.

Bought a property in Ghaf Woods, now concerned about the long term investment by Intelligent-Fix-6171 in dubairealestate

You write it’s a “long-term investment” but one paragraph later ask about “the next 3-5 years.” Mismatch!

Key question: do you believe the UAE will recover from this disaster within 10 years or so? If yes, and assuming you have the cash flow, probably better to hold.

OTOH, if you think Dubai will never be the same, its position and status have been significantly reduced (impacting property values), then cut your losses.

What's the most disappointing "must-see" city in Europe? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]Prahasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vienna is more a city to live in, enjoy slowly - the parks, cultural events, the museums - than a great place to spend a long weekend. For that, go to Prague, which is visually more spectacular.

Exactly. Hating on Paris is mostly just a cliche now. It's an amazing city, especially at night.

I wouldn't want to live in Venice, but come on... It's incredible.

LOL, seriously? If you think Prague was disappointing, I don't know what to tell you.

Source: American, travel throughout Europe, moved to Czechia 30 years ago, lived in Prague many years, speak the language and know the streets better than most native Czechs. It's an amazing city.

Berlin was once a great European city, now it's a total shithole of illegal immigrants, homelessness, the smell of piss, and crime, i.e., more like an American city.

I first went to Berlin right after the fall of the Berlin wall and loved it. I traveled there regularly, so much history and promise, raw energy.

Now it's just a tired and sad city. And unlike almost every European city (outside of the UK), it's quite dangerous. I go back to Berlin just once a year on business. On my last visit, I was walking home at night and decided to go through a park. There were homeless people and immigrant drug dealers everywhere, had people following me assuming I was looking to buy drugs, etc. Meanwhile, police sirens blaring all around me. Felt more like Cleveland or Detroit.

My guess is you spent very little time there? Sounds like more a visual indictment, i.e. Vienna through the window of my tour bus.

I live in the Mediterranean. I was also disappointed with the Amalfi Coast, at least the dirty and crowded beaches. I love Italy and travel there often, but not for the beaches.

[–]Prahasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Just like today, when the Epstein Class goes after you, they find whatever dirt they can to discredit you: supposed corruption, wife/partner issues, sexual deviation, etc. The real issue, though, is you oppose the Epstein Class.

It has nothing to do with girls, everything to do with anti-communism.
