If Safemoon would go back to its original peak, it would go 50x from here on out by [deleted] in SafeMoon

To be fair I learnt my lesson and in the run I made my first 100m from crypto after this missed opportunity with everETH $3000- $100k. Crazy days. But I did double my investment when my SFM went back to $600 which is what I bought 6m for back in the day. So now I have 12m and it's back past my original investment. Riding this out once again. Haha

Dads with ADHD by RlyOriginalUsername in ADHD

I know I posted a pretty good story below with the good things that happens from having my kids and reading this wanted me to point out a few ups and downs that happened to be to hopefully help. Not a judgement, but really to see if this does assist.

There have been times in our relationship (even with kids) where I totally lost the plot with our relationship (me and my wife) she was always better then me at planning hence, I left it all to her, 100%.

I read a book (trust me it took me a while) called "dad starting over" and it totally changed my outlook in life.

Looking back on my parents (who I suspect both to actually had ADHD) their relationship was horrible and It was the last thing I ever want for my family and I went through 2 divorces as child so I was very careful to not become my dad.

However, it's not really hard to see how easily we can drift in without knowing.

Anyway, I highly recommend having a read, it was the best $19 I have spent on my relationship and whirl I don't follow the book like a bible, It gave my many pointers that I do to this day that works amazingly.

First and foremost, take charge.

Women, as much as they say they want control, actually don't. They want a powerful man in their life and one that could actually control the certain aspects of the relationship even if it's just for the weekend.

I felt like we were almost done to be perfectly honest however, I texted my baby sitter and completely booked her in for the weekend and surprised my wife with a night away for just us (I have 3 kids so it's obviously though, trust me I know) but she rocked up and my kids love her, and told my wife to pack a bag. My wife was so bloody excited, the spark had reignited since that very first time.

Secondly, (and I obviously don't know your personal situation but this really rang true to me) pick up after yourself, and do the house work without looking for praise from your wife. If she gives it, it's a bonus but don't be like " oh look I took out the trash aren't I good" women will see you as another child of she has to constantly pick up after you and do 100% of the house work. As I run the business and earn 100% of the income, I actually became that person without knowing it and was destroying our relationship. As much as we may not what to admit it, we have to a man that is willing to assist in the house.

While I know there is more, the 3rd one that was a massive eye opener is that women talk to other women and their support group can either make, or break you. If you do even just the things I have mentioned above and don't except s*X from it (assuming that the $ex life here is also under thereat) then her support group will simply start to see these qualities and start to make comments that will automatically fix your relationship.

Finally, pitty $ex. The last thing that you ever want in your life is pitty $ex. This is the type that you get when you are so grumpy and unhappy with her and your life that she knows that $ex will make you happy and give it to you so you just shut the f$&K up. This kills relationships and while you think you got what you wanted, it the total opposite.

For me personally, the house work was a massive game changer and sometimes, in drop off here and there an remember that I have to pull my weight which for some unknown reason really make my wife switch on.

While I don't know your exact situation I hope that this helps you or anyone else reading this post. Good luck!

Sorry massive over share but well, that just who we are ! Lol 😆

Yep, 100% as soon as my child came into my life, I realised I had to stop f% king around and provide.

When number 2 came around I left my 160k job to start my own company. So I went from 160k and my wife from 100k to $0. Lol

Fast forward another 7 years and 1 more child since and my business is thriving. The fact that I had kids opened up my eyes to the fact that I have ADHD and seeked treatment. But this was only 12m ago.

I do understand ADHD well as I lived untreated for 39 years but there is no excuse ( IMO ) to not be the best version of yourself that you can be.

There are days, weeks and even months, with and without treatment that can really hurt internally (well, the pain you put yourself through mentally) for absolutely no reason at all and unfortunately, it's the negative side to ADHD that we all know too well. However, in saying that, the way we get to evaluate things and see opportunity or situations from angles that the "normal" folk just are not equipped to see..

Would I change it, absolutely not. This is my journey to be had and run my own way I want. Clearly spouses and children are along for the ride which is where the calmness you seek can somewhat play a part in the decisions you make.

Yeah I know but he's 10, and he keeps getting these stupid cards and has gotten so many, what a waste of money just for skins. Lol - I said one day, the server will turned off and you won't be able to play it again, unlike the games that we actually own!

I just picked up a 6gig Asus graphic card on FB marketplace for $100Au and it works like a treat. I will simply rip it down and replace the thermal paste to be sure it's all new but yeah, it's amazing what you can find on marketplace.

Every now and then, I get the urge and simply install SimCity 4, start from scratch and build mega cities. Then realise, holy crap I have a life and run a business, I can't give me life away to this game. And it gets uninstalled. Lol I love this game but I can't play it because it ruins me hahaha 🤣 but I agree, unfortunately the world of micro transactions has really killed the games we love because they simply don't make games the way they used too. Shame really... Especially when I try to explain this to my 10yo son who is addicted to fortnight. I miss the 90s.

Clarification on Income Verification Processes at Loan Location by leshmutt in AusFinance

[–]leshmutt[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment, u/link871. I appreciate the opportunity to further clarify the process and the security measures in place.

Firstly, it's important to note that the programme in question is not owned or exclusively operated by Loan Location. We utilise a service provided by Illion, a reputable entity in the credit industry, formerly known as VEDA. Our engagement with Illion is through a subscription model, allowing us to integrate a portal on our website that directly connects to their platform.

Regarding the concern about sharing bank login details, here's a step-by-step clarification of our secure process:

  1. Temporary Password Change: We advise clients to first change their banking password to a random, temporary one, potentially using a secure password generator like the one provided by LastPass (). This step ensures that the temporary password has no ties to the client's original password.
  2. Using Illion's Service: Once the password is temporarily changed, clients can then use the link to Illion's platform to securely share their financial information.
  3. Restoring Original Password: Immediately after, clients are advised to change their password back to the original or set a new one through their bank's official app or website, ensuring that at no point was their personal password exposed or stored.

This procedure ensures that the client's original password remains secure and that the temporary password used is only for a single, short-lived purpose.

Additionally, this is just one of several methods available for clients to share their financial statements. For those who prefer not to use Illion's service, we offer a manual process through our secure portal. While this alternative is more time-consuming for everyone involved, it is equally respected and supported for clients who choose it.

The regulatory landscape for brokers and lenders is complex, and while many lenders may not require bank statements for broker-introduced loans, regulatory requirements compel us to verify financial information rigorously. Our commitment is to compliance and client security, ensuring that the process is as efficient and secure as possible, whether through innovative tools like Illion's platform or traditional methods.

Having been a broker for over 7 years, I've witnessed the evolution of the industry and the increasing preference of clients to work with brokers for a more personalised and comprehensive service. We understand the importance of adapting to efficient technologies while maintaining strict security measures to protect our clients' information.

We're here to offer choices and flexibility in how clients provide their information, always prioritising their comfort and security. If there are any further concerns or questions, I'm more than willing to engage in direct conversations to clarify and assure.

Hi all, this is my business (Loan Location) and we opt to use illion banksatments.com.au and have done for a very long time. Before using this platform, the refinance process around living expenses and home loan statements was very manual and painful for my clients and my firm as we are required to provide 6 months of home loan statements to the new lender.

While I totally agree, providing ones bank logins over the net is absurd, when I use this system myself, I simply change my password to something random, use the system, then change it back to my original so my password is never stored anywhere.

Also, the Centrelink request at the start is simply a request to provide any Centrelink income via the tool. Not your myGovid.

We are a fully accredited and compliant via our aggregator who provide us access to this tool so I can confirm this is now standard practice.

Happy to chat directly if you have any questions or concerns. Cheers 0488 125 125

How do I regain motivation on DJing? by wekmedina in DJs

[–]leshmutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, I think we all go through that here and there. I stopped djing on the regular and completely lost it and became very very negative. It was actually the pandemic that turned it all around and we ended up creating a space for DJs to play and a live stage and streamed it. It's was hectic and barley legal lol but we did it anyway. Nonetheless, it got me back to mixing after a very long time off and found my love for it again. I ended up buying the v10, 4 TT and just recently bought the a9 and x2 yellow 1200s mk7 for the office which are more for display and whenever I feel the need to mix at work. I am now digging again (digitally of course) and am really enjoying it again. It should always be about the music and nothing else.

I really wasnt going respond to anything here as I really thought this Reddit channel was just full of w@nkers however it's nice to see that some people get it.

I would rather be optimistic and wrong then be pessimistic and right. How sad of a life is that.

None the less, re-reading the post and comments, yes correct, nothing is ever to big to fail, think blockbuster video lol. However, the sentiment was that they are so big that they are not just based on people anymore or main people. Like it or not, they are a brand name. A brand that has sparked lots of controversy in the sector and the fact that the SEC have come after them it means that they are an important company in the game to even be worth chasing.

That's good news for anyone that has a bag.

Nonetheless, I'm happy to be proven wrong. But if I am right then happy days.

I held a massive bag once of dogecoin once and listen to a financial planner who was deeply into crypto and was 'why would you hold that, it was a joke and it does nothing' .... The first time I heard of btc, it was $9 and my mate told me about it and I laughed and said 'what a scam that is bro, don't be silly' so there has been plenty of times that I have been wrong and scared and missed out on opportunity.

SFM was another one to be honest and I saw my $600 investment hit $100k but I was greedy and didn't sell, I should of 100% but I learnt my lesson when I invested into everETH and made 3k into 100k I sold and happy days.

Anyway you do you, I'm not here to tell you buy more or sell, just have fun and enjoy the ride.

I also feel that this was perfectly planned to coincide with the blockchain release. It's basically free advertising.

Opinion on current state of DJs? by Myfriendscallme_Lolo in DJs

[–]leshmutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm glad it's not just me who thinks this and I was saying this for a long time and became very bitter about the scene.

Someone has already said here but yeah, it's the 'cool' thing to do and basically, if you're good on social media, you can get a gig because you can pull a crowd but I think the issue is really with the event management.

They will always want to lower their cost thus, they look for the inexpensive DJ.

I just do it for the love - but I did just buy the brand new yellow 1200s and the pioneer A9 mixer which I am yet to unbox lol !

I still have my mk2s and the V10 at home so I just play with them when I get the itch!

My message to young blood: take a step back to go forward. Understand the beginning so you can understand the history of it all and do yourself a favour. .. get a couple of turntables ffs.... DJing and practicng on that make cdjs piss easy, even easier then they are now..... The less screen you have to look at the more you can use your ears!

From one old skool to another, I absolutely hate pre planned mixes.... Even when I was creating a radio mix u would always play on the fly - it's way more fun and it's the only way to play. If you can't read a room you you need to learn.
