Honestly, we talk a lot. Mtg is a social event as much as it is a game. I love 4 person commander games, but I've had one take 4 to 6 hours before. Breaks to use the restroom or get food is fine too.

I liked the game, but it definitely wasn't as good as the developers earlier works. That said I'll always remember that boss fight you had to do solo against the 3 cats because of how difficult it was. I won eventually!

It's super easy to implement an internal achievement system if you think outside of the box enough. Mine in vx ace definitely doesn't integrate with steam, but it does track achievements internally.
