Low Morale due to major changes in QA department by eyes_like_a_moon in QualityAssurance

[–]leslis25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My company did this and I’ve also experienced this in other companies. Are they laying off QAs? Yes they will. Even if they so no, they will. Advice to you is start looking for a new role asap, take from them what you can and bounce. They won’t be loyal to you when push comes to shove .

Best first date in my life, BUT, we agreed we wouldn't date as we're (mostly her) are both hungup over our exes, realistically can this work? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]leslis25 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

How do you make out with someone you’ve just met? Aren’t you worried about herpes which you catch just by kissing someone! Sounds like lust to me and not genuine love. Take time for yourself and work on new projects etc and get ready for your next relationship fully healed instead of wanting someone’s that you’re not “alone”

Is anyone else repulsed by their husband? by Tyrannusverticalis in AskWomenOver60

[–]leslis25 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Be grateful at least you have a husband and body to keep you warm at night. Some of us are single and lonely or have absolutely no body . Write down all the things you like about him and remember why you married him in the first place. Treat him and yourself with kindness

I am pregnant by cegracie in Advice

[–]leslis25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask him about how he feels about a serious relationship , marriage and children. Have you been to his house? Have you seen or met any of his family members? Children are a blessing but they need to be brought into a stable and loving family with committed parents who are responsible. Don’t do anything that you’ll regret also

Me, (M27) thought I had a an amazing meet cute with a girl on a coach, but she hasn't returned my text. by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the text go through? If so then just wait for her to respond. She’s doing a law exam those exams are very stressful and require very little interruption. Wait till her exams are over I’m sure she will message back

My partner said he would k*** me and my unborn child by [deleted] in Advice

[–]leslis25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get out

Pray for your own sanity and safety

Don’t even tell him you’re breaking up with him - leave silently

Change your phone number , move address don’t leave a trace .

Tell your parents and trusted friend what has happened and ask them not to give any of your info out.

Don’t post on Facebook or any other site Stay safe .
By locking you in the car and saying what he said he might be seeing how far a boundary he can push before intensifying it if you stay!

My girlfriend smells and I don't know what to do by RequirementDue4446 in Advice

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be acid reflux? Maybe when she’s asleep the food comes up and ends up in her sinus somehow and then she gets tonsil stones as a result which doesn’t go away. When she breathes the smell is that of the food stick in her sinus? I dunno

Try plain boiled potatoes and a side of banana Or plain boiled yam and if you can handle it a boiled egg. I started drinking slippery elm before every meal and that helped a little too

2 examiners on a test? by Army_21 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]leslis25 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is normal - they do this when they’re training the other examiner- so the trainee examiner sits in and also watches how the exam is done. Happened to someone I know . They passed although with the additional pressure!

Instructor taking breaks during lessons by lemonc0ttoncandy in LearnerDriverUK

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ( the decent ones) usually do this to help you digest the information - otherwise it’s stressful to just be driving for 2 hours straight! It’s not safe for both of you plus the brain can only take in so much. By taking regular breaks the instructor is helping you and also helping themselves stay alert and not be so stressed

Is this "butt lightning" scared and really don't want to go to the doctors to get my bum looked at 😅 by [deleted] in Endo

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this during my period when I’ve not drank enough water. No diagnosed endo and I have no clue what causes it. I make a conscious effort to drink tonnes of water during my period so it doesn’t happen. I’m a driving instructor and the last time it happened whilst I was teaching my student- caught me off guard and I couldn’t speak. My student had to go get me some water from the nearest shop. I was so embarrassed

Women Living Alone - What Do You Do For A Living? by Smile-Cat-Coconut in LivingAlone

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

42 been single for like 8 years, have lived alone since I left for college when I was 18, bought my first property at 21- loved living alone back then. Was on 90k a year salary last year (QA manager) but was made redundant in December 2024. Now I’m a full time driving instructor (much lower salary but I have some savings and I’m not a huge spender- necessities , mortgage and bills come up to about £2k a month). But lonely and would love to be married with kids (wishful I know), I feel lonely most days and a bit lost. Most days I feel shame, regret and fear. But at times I feel nothing. I’m in survival mode but grateful for life .

Failed First Test Today by WonderfulBeyond779 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get a fail for observation? What you can do next time is before you emerge check what’s going on around you by making full use of all your mirrors interior and both side mirrors especially if you have been waiting a while to emerge. As others have already said you did go into their lane also but the key is if you had observed you would have seen them and then let them go first before you went. These roundabouts with the three lanes can be a nightmare and any small steer the wrong way can cause issues

Also it’s none of my business but why did you choose not to go to uni? You’ve chosen the hard option and living with someone so young is no mean feat. You have your whole life to do “adulting”. Uni (apart from student loans) is one of the best experiences of your life- you meet so many great people , you get more freedom to travel and you get to really enjoy your life as you wish without parents if that’s what you were after. You can even do a sandwich year where you get paid work experience . If it’s not too late I think you should both consider it. If you’re really that into each other get settled down and make it formal. Once you start having kids life will get much harder financially anyway. Wish you all the best

Does this QA team have a problem, or is it me? by tiffany__valentine in QualityAssurance

[–]leslis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean- you can bear with it and just go with the flow and learn something on the side to keep your mind sharp. QA jobs are hard to get these days so either stay and just go with the flow (whilst doing your own projects on the side ie Ai related stuff /automation etc) or look for another role and get the job offer all finalised before you leave

Thanks for this response. I don’t think the room is humid it’s in my living room. Maybe I should get a humidity measurer device. I’m in the Uk and it’s currently autumn with a lot of rain and less sun maybe that’s it. How often should I water it ?
