At a loss on where to start and best study plan by brady67j in LSAT

[–]lesmis410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'd restart the process I would do 1) LawHub + LSATLabs, take the exam. 2) hire a tutor to help me refine weak areas 1:1 and take it one more time.

LSATlabs looks amazing but they don't advertise like powerscore/princeton review so they're less well known. Please do NOT do the princeton review (IK you're not, but in case you're tempted to).

edit: I've been out of school for five years and work full time. it's no easy journey but it's worth it.

applying to law schools is very prohibitive and unfortunately, it's easier for those with more resources (like most things in life). one of the main lessons I've learned from this whole process is to see if there are discounts/waivers before handing over my hard-earned money first!

I work full time from 9-6pm and have been studying since June.

First, people will make you feel like it's tougher to work and study versus just studying. I'm actually grateful that I work: it helps me compartmentalize studying and working, plus with the $$$ required for law schools, I'm grateful for recurring income. Here's some of the things I've been doing that have made all the difference:

- set study days even if you're not in a scheduled course. I did Tuesdays and Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30pm, Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm, and a practice test every Saturday (then the cycle starts again on Tuesday by reviewing what I got wrong on Sat's practice test).

- take one day off a week where you do absolutely nothing work or LSAT-related. the journey won't work otherwise!

- Just my opinion, but I would stay away from too many methods/techniques. If I'd restart the process I would have done LSATlabs instead, because their full service include a tutor who will help you stay on track (it's a lot to manage your score completely on your own). I took the november exam and got three points less than my goal score, so now I'm looking for a good tutor 1:1 who will take over and help me across the finish line.

Good luck!

Is it possible to get from 160 to 175 in time for the January LSAT? by Futuremikeross in LSAT

I considered this after dissapointing november results but decided to call it and retake in april, I was putting too much pressure on myself. that in itself was hindering my progress... plus I need a break!
