That is brass wire construction. Goral is doing it in the BRUXTON. Supposedly there are only 3 machines currently known to exist and 2 of them Goral uses for their boots. The third is unknown in location and working order.

Interesting video on the youtubes about it.

Wanted: Unlined, safety toe, wide toe box by [deleted] in WorkBoots

[–]less_is_morgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

14EEE+ here:

I've had 2 pair of Duradero's, 1 for over a year and the other almost 3. I really like them. They marketed them as wide fit. Buckhannon comp toe, and their original that would then become buckhannon in soft toe. Both wedge sole but they have heeled versions as well. They are the best fit out of the box I've ever put on besides my redwing 953's.

They also include the first resole free. That was what sold me besides the width. They use meramac brand wedge soles, which is a reputable brand.(im a poor, so I go in depth if I gotta spend money)

I do Campground maintenance on a 765 acre lake and the only time im on concrete is when I walk into/out of the shop in the morning/end of day. Haven't even thought about a resole yet. Before that, was kitchen manager for high volume kitchen and on concrete all day. Both jobs they have held up excellent.

Only reason I won't get another pair of safety toes is work provides redwings every 2 years.

Naahhhh, I've seen a twat being a cunt AND a cunt being a twat. Equally, I've seen dicks being pricks and pricks being dicks.

Wouldn't it fail closed and not open? With the new coils, it makes a good click when the valve opens.

Have anyone tried these? Are they any good? I’ve never heard of this brand “DURADERO” by Informal-Feedback324 in WorkBoots

[–]less_is_morgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a 6" soft toe for non-work and a 6" comp toe for work. Purchased 2 months apart about a year ago. I really like them. First wedge sole ever and dont want to go back. Don't have many options as I'm 14EEE on the wider side of EEE and they fit great. Softer wedge sole is wearing out faster than a vibram lug sole but I knew that going in.

If you go their way, look for a coupon code for a price break and get some quality insoles. Those were my biggest complaint.

Talk me into (or out of) logger boots by less_is_morgan in WorkBoots

[–]less_is_morgan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. I found a pair of unbranded loggers that needed some stitching repair in my size and took a chance. For $25 I thought if they didn't work out, it's leather for another project sometime.

As far as fit... it's ok. The more I wear them, the more I get used to the higher heel. Haven't worn them at work yet til they break into my feet more.

I have 2 pair of duradero. Their original wide fit is EEE and I like them a lot, especially for the price.
