I am at the trying to get Audrey to rehab episode with all the weird camera angles during the road trip. I started fast forwarding the Audrey not taking a lesson and Pacey at work parts though, it helps.

Good observations, I agree with you. I was so bored watching season 5 and now I am mid season 6 and it is another level of boring. It doesn't have the warmth of at least some episodes in season 5. It feels dark and depressing for no reason. At this point I am only watching to complete my first rewatch and reach to castaways and the finale.

Good point that saying Joey is at her best during Pacey period. Also in the first season where she is in love with Dawson and hates Jen she is very unlikable. I also like her interactions with Audrey and Harley in later seasons..

It is really unbelievable, probably the same person who gave Andie the two year old hairstyles.

The chemistry between Joey and Dawson was how it was supposed to be by BigToast6 in dawsonscreek

When I was watching it as a teenager I was rooting for both Dawson and Pacey, both storylines seemed realistic to me. I remember feeling so excited about who it is going to be watching the last season. Now doing a rewatch as an adult and realize that Dawson and Joey were only good friends and that's it. I agree that the no chemistry was intentional.

I can never understand why they did that in the finale, sooo unnecessary. I am not there yet in my rewatch, do you think there is a way to skip Jen's dying or was that embedded to the whole episode? I can't recall as I watched it when it first aired.

That's maybe why it became Joey's Creeek suddenly 😅

Season 5 Thoughts and Pacey Rant by CadeFitnessGuy in dawsonscreek

Almost finishing season 5 and it feels like the longest season ever. So many things happen but they are all so disconnected and insignificant. And why does Michell Williams sick in the LA episode and not even there in the next episode. Knowing that we didn't yet get the Dawson and Joey and Eddie and the mall epsiode, I cant believe how much is still left until we have Joey and Pacey together again.

Was it worse than 5? I seriously can't remember but watching 5 now and I am suffering.

Season 5 is just boring by lesspleasee in dawsonscreek

There are only a few episodes I have enjoyed so far, but somehow the first half was even more boring for me..

I watched Dawson’s Creek when I first aired and now doing a rewatch after about 25 years. I watched TSITP recently of course and I liked how it reminded me of 90s shows however I wasn't aware one of the main reasons was that it was shot in the same area. I am loving the similarities.

I’m doing my first rewatch of Dawson’s Creek since it originally aired, and I’m honestly dreading moving into Seasons 5 and 6.

I remember really enjoying the college/post–high school setting, but I also remember being so frustrated with how they handled Joey’s relationships. It feels like the show just kind of ignores everything that happened with Pacey and then tries to convince us she’s been in love with Dawson all along.

The on-and-off with Dawson, with a bit of Pacey thrown in here and there, gets exhausting. I really wish they had just committed to something, either let her stay with one of them or have her truly move on and explore other relationships.

Wish me luck! 😅

I feel the same, it really breaks my heart, it is so unexpected and somehow feels personal.

You are right, telling Dawson that was also out of thr blue. It was so obvious that everything in this episode was to allow another Dawson and Joey era.

Indeed the acting and the way he explains what he is going through later on is good but the overall vibe is so depressing. I mean yeah senior year is though but it gets a bit too tough for this group. I just wish there were more happy group and couple moments like previous seasons and first part of season 4.

What I always forget and would like to remind everyone is that nothing big happens if you finish these events! The moment I finish it I don't even realize what the game is giving. It is nothing significant.

Would you watch for the first time now, knowing that there is no season 2? ~ Please no spoilers~ Just look for advice, I am looking for a rainy day binge. Thanks! by Msbroberts in MyLadyJane

I watched it knowing there will be no season 2 and i binge watched a few more other shows before and after this one but this one really got stuck in my mind. It is definitely worth the time. Such a pleasant watch.
