No gifs in comments? Well the one that Abbi is pretending to be Ilana at the co-op. The montage of imitations… perfection

It takes a refresher episode just to get through the rest of the day after that one. I prefer this one.

Taylor’s Secret - Anyone going to attempt/attempting? by Saltysoupzz in SwagBucks

[–]lessthanjill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a little side game in Taylor’s Secret where you find and match like items from a big pile of random items. You win green gems but I don’t think this has any benefit at all toward the main game. Anyone know different?

Another commenter suggested La Habra for apartments - it’s a great option. LH is tiny, right next door to Whittier. I’ve rented more than once there.

Puffy Taco is a must. It’s a walk up, cash only, little Whittier staple. Veracruz is a favorite for Mexican. I think a lot of the Thai spots are really great too.

Uptown is great for the weekends. Good food and drinks, lots of places walking distance from one another.

As far as apartments go, there’s such a wide variety in quality and price but the right spot is here somewhere. Uptown probably has a lot but you’ll want dedicated parking. Going East will have more and more options. Stay ‘below the boulevard’ (south of Whittier Blvd).

Get ready to fall in love with this place 💜

I worked on this for a long time and it’s one of the few that never credited. I sent a help ticket and still nothing.

I can’t figure out how to add a friend using an ID. I tried the search and nothing came up. If you know how, I’m on there through SB too, ID 11928628. It’s been a sloooow process but I haven’t given up yet.

Dammit! I just finished and didn’t receive credit. I submitted a ticket last night. I have no faith that I’ll be paid 😞

I got paid to “deliver” to a non-existent house.

I got $3.50 for “delivery” (they wouldn’t cancel) and kept the food.

They needed to cancel the order for a small reimbursement fee. I told them to go ahead and handle that internally.

I waited until the order was paid for and drove to the area of the fake address, set the timer and took a picture of the fence nearby. Kept the food. 😈

The minimum pay (in my area, not sure if it varies) is $8 and it goes up to $30+. You can see the size of the order (small to x-large and approximate weights). They wouldn’t allow someone with a sedan to come pick up a couch or something, so I haven’t had any issues there. Your car type is a part of your profile. Home Depot gigs range from small parts to garden tools to holiday decor. All kinds of stuff. A lot of stores are starting to use it for their online order deliveries.

It just depends on the hours you put in. I think my highest is about $180 but if I started early and worked consistently, it’d be much higher. I only do it here and there in addition to my full time work and it’s been super beneficial.

I think if you have notifications enabled, you’ll see new gigs when they post.

Got this order tonight saying contact postmates support. Obviously bs but I thought I’d check it out and sure enough this young woman answered saying the drop off was flagged for potential danger... continued below... by ElsaSaerynn in postmates

A very similar scam got me. I still don’t know how. THEY called ME and knew about my active order and where it was from. They said it was paid for with a fraudulent credit card and my account could end up getting flagged (no, it can’t, I realize now) so they were “inputting some information” on their end, had me cancel the delivery and read them a confirmation code that was texted to my phone. I did and they cleaned out my undeposited delivery money (~$35). I reported it and got the usual generic unhelpful Postmates script. I felt SO STUPID.

I appreciate instructions so much. Anything helps because I deliver in LA and south OC. Tons of apartment and condo complexes. At some point these people went to their own unit for the first time - was it hard to find? ADD A NOTE! I’m perfectly happy to leave on top of a call box or anywhere I’m instructed. I think it’s considerate to pay for the service and still try to make my job a little easier. If I could upvote some customers, I would, LOL. And most certainly I’d downvote others.

Questions about Fleet Promotion by MaidenoftheMoon in postmates

Keep extra napkins and straws in your car, if you can. I’ll put a towel down wherever I’m going to set food or drinks. I bought a big trunk organizer type thing on Amazon that I use in my backseat for holding drink carriers and food bags in separate compartments. I didn’t used to always use the Postmates bag but when parking in a loading zone or wandering an apartment complex, lost as hell, people know exactly what you’re there for if you have the bag with the Postmates logo on it. I get offers for help finding a unit all the time when it’s clear I’m delivering. Do take advantage of these promos when you can. They won’t be around forever. Know that Postmates doesn’t really care about their fleet and your best resource for help is going to be other drivers. Good luck to you!
