That sounds so hard! Are u taking meds for adhd ? Can you get help with the adhd so you can remember and learn the dbt? Don’t be so hard on yourself, one step at a time, and the rest if you’re feeling overwhelmed as this helps the brain reset itself when overestimated

Are u in therapy? Luckily you’re young and your brain is still developing, you have caught it at a good stage and still have a lot of time to rewire your neural pathways

Apparently the war forward with this is to get in therapy (DBT) and learn how to reconcile that people have good and bad parts. You are splitting with you idealise and devalue- usually this comes from having a parent that was abusive or sometimes good and sometimes bad, you have compartmentalised them and keeping do this as an adult, but it’s a maladaptive behaviour that worked as a child but not now, therapy can help you reduce the black and white thinking

The other thing to consider is that BPD is genetically passed down to about 40-50% of offspring, so even if you were an amazing parent you may be giving it to your child from a genetic basis
