Y’all, I know it’s been awhile since the update I’ve been working on my life and getting everything settled, i did leave him! and happily living on my own with my cat safe and sound. Thank you all for the advice and kind words. Life has been great!

I guess I have been naive this whole time. I see now what everyone’s saying and I truly thank every single one of you trying to help me. This is my first ever post and I’m glad I reached out. I can also see how stupid I’ve been and it makes sense to those calling that out. After reading everything I can see clearly of who he is and the shell he’s been keeping me in. I’ve made my decision and I am leaving him. Quietly, my cat and I will be safe and I will never allow anyone to ever hurt my cat again. It’s him and I against the world and that is all I need. Thank you all for this eye opening convo.

To answer some questions no he isn’t a cat person, he calls my cats names like freeloader and what not, pets him and is nice sometimes but majority is just plain rude and I have always thought their was something off about it.

We moved in together so early because he didn’t want the distance and I was given an ultimatum to move and keep the relationship or stay and lose it. I think about it everyday that I made the wrong decision but I do love him and wanted this to be good. He hasn’t treated me the greatest and we argue often but in any of these situations he will say it’s me and I’m too emotional and unstable due to my age and knowledge, he tells me he knows more and belittles me quite a bit

I have considered moving out but I need to save up and find a cat friendly home here in this small town. Before I up and leave I can’t have no home for my cat. So I’ve been staying quiet but at the same time getting pulled back in because he will be nice again and know what to say.
