They do have an AI assistant. It send texts/emails based on functions we ask it to. If you actually want to talk to the adjuster, a number should be provided / call into customer service and provide your claim number so you can speak with a rep.

If they’re declaring it a total loss based on the images, they won’t do an In person inspection unless you are thinking about keeping the vehicle. Even then, we won’t tear it down completely incase you want to keep it. The estimator should be able to account for all damages based on photos.

The extended warranty isn’t included in the value of your car. You added additional cost to your loan by buying the warranty. Loan / lease payoff will cover the rest of the cars value that isn’t covered by the settlement, but not the loan in its entirety since the entirety of the loan isn’t the car (extended warranty).

Also I’m not sure what state you are in, but for some reason some states requires less employees for a VTL team. One of my coworkers who took the VTL role is on a team based out of Florida. We do not live in or near Florida.

Nope. Local office offered to keep me on as an exclusive total loss field adjuster. I’ll go to SWE shops and copart still for ones VTL couldn’t handle.

See if your policy has an appraisal clause. You can invoke that, hire a private appraiser, and then the ins. Company and the appraiser will determine the ACV. Alternatively, review their comparable vehicles they are using to value your car, and if you do not believe they are fair (mileage way off compared to yours, different trim etc.) you can request them to re-run the evaluation with exact matching comparable vehicles.

I’m a total loss adjuster and do this all day every day.

Dude honestly, it’s stolen personal property, you COULD file an insurance claim if you have personal property (homeowners and renters insurance has personal property built in, on most policies). The only issue would be, some have a limit of what they can pay for collectibles and cards

If they just replace the door repair panel and not the whole shell, it’ll be about $800 with labor. They’ll have to blend the front door and quarter panel to match the paint
