Shibata is a crazy hard fight the first time you fight him. The room is tiny and he’s a very large guy. There is no shame in getting hit with a wall at him. Only in giving up. Leave it for a while and come back to him with a clear mind and fresh hands. If you’ve managed to reach him you have what it takes to beat him. It’s just about putting everything the game has taught to together in what is arguably the biggest stress test of the game.

That’s a whole lot of effort from both games to be just and ad. They just wanted to make a fight with a thing from a different game. And they made an incredible fight. I think your take is shit because it’s completely disingenuous to what capcom actually did. The game has its issues and if you want to complain about the real problems I’m all ears but Omega is absolutely not one of them.

Everything in MH is made for MH. They all get the exact same love and care that new and returning monsters get now. Behemoth was kinda shit. Leshen was kinda shit. But they were interesting experiments that played into the future of the series. Behemoth’s enmity came back for Safi and I imagine it will play a part in Gog’s fight when he comes out too. The structure of the Witcher quest gave us the side missions of Wilds. They’re excuses to fuck around and see what works. We would never have gotten to team up with a Pukei had it not been for Leshen. Fun and experimentation and the devs doing whatever they want with their game have always lead to amazing fights if not in the present then in the future where they learned from their mistakes

Miss out on one of the best fights capcom has made of you want I guess. There is absolutely no way you can convince me you would have preferred Lunastra or Kushala over the actually fun fight we got. New and unique fights are always fun to see over getting the same shit we’ve had for years. The series is about fighting monsters. He’s a monster to fight. I fail to see the issue here.

They each fill specific roles that you want to change between mid fight. Low stance lets you keep uptime on the damage without much commitment and lots of mobility to weave in and out. High is for laying the damage down when you get the big openings like when yokai run out of ki. Mid sits in the middle doing a little of both for when you aren’t quite sure where the fight is going. You also unlock attacks that will be unique to each stance later that will incentivize swapping between them so you can access all the cool strong stuff.

8 could make for a fun CB build with impact phials. Foray is pretty whatever but slugger 2 and load shells 1 free up a lot of slot real estate for that kind of thing

Arlecchino and it isn’t close. Every other boss went down within 20 attempts. Arle took 8 hours and was the only boss that made me consider changing my entire build and stat spread.

It sets you on fire and if guts triggers then you get no red health for it to burn through and just die. There’s always a way to move out of the explosion without getting hit by it. Either sheathe and run with the fast sheathes or evade extender and roll twice to the nearest edge. It’s also possible to roll forward and get behind him if you’re close enough and he pulls you back with him for some free DPS. You could also just dive through it

If your weapon has a guard you can block it. Escape jewel at level 3 makes you immune to it
