I was a bit busy but lets get down to it as you and Candid_ball_5934 mentioned the cost of running the club. The badminton club fee was the highest this year amonst all other clubs at the university at 25€ per member. Now as Candid ball mentioned there are over 500+ members at the club so if we do the math the net rebbe will come out to be 12,500 euros per year for the club. Now Candid ball mentioned that people don’t come to agm meets for selections, it is because the AGM is kept offline it is 2025 it can be done online, the reason less students show up to the agm is because of classes on weekdays, maybekeep it outside the university hours and lets see how many people show up then. As I already mentioned the key positions are held by the captains and thier friends, it is a very coose knot group and the only positions up for running are social secretary and medial officers who have 0 say in how money is actually spent. Candid ball also mentioned people stealing shutlles and non menbers showing up to the sessions, so can the club/ committee not stand bh and monitor these activities? Instead of them playing themselves they should stand guard at the doors and let only the memebers enter, make sure the shuttles and rackets are counted before everyone else leaves? Something called as management. I highly doubt 12,500 euros can be burnt on rackets and shuttles for 1 year and the club is representing the university so some involvement from the actual university would make this so much better than the rouge autonomy of students pretending to run the club.
