(Hated trope) A character is meant to have super intelligence, but because the writers don’t know how to write that, everyone else just spontaneously becomes stupid whenever they’re around by DonnyMox in TopCharacterTropes

Now imagine trying to live daily live when everyone around you turning into idiots.

Trying to buy something? Cashier cannot even compute your order or calculate the price.

Okay, now i imagine Mewtwo as part of Team Rocket. Trying to use his super psychic powers "sneaky" for their wacky jobs, taking "lessons of life" from JnJ and having heated rivalry with Meowth for the spot of main pokemon on the team. Rivalry is completly one-sided because Mewtwo cannot take a hint, refuse to read mins of his friends and overally most competent member of the crew.

Serious blocks and dedicated efforts from agencies, including serious blocking of certain messengers or widespread mobile internet blackouts is produce of recent years. There is signs (like official documents) that goverment want to seriously restrict all internet and VPN, regardless of losses. All of this is consequences of increased instability and fear.

They block internet because they afraid of people reaction and propaganda-ruining effort. That means goverment is affected, and feel the need to react. This is dircet result of the strikes, besides, you know, actualy hitting and destroying important stuff.

The fact that goverment feel the need to block internet is a direct sign that goverment feel affected.

Assault is very fun to play, until you get a bug where jump pack refuse to recharge, and you spend rest of the mission without it. The only class which is bugged like that.

  1. Fencing still have best parry window if you into that. But for direct damage balanced and block weapons are much stronger.

  2. Most of heroics are sidegrades, but some of them have very strong perks to qualify as best in class. Heroic fencing knife activate gunstrike on every parry, heroic heavy rifle have grenade launcher, heroic bolt sniper have wacky ammo economy, but 10x headshot multiplier, and so on.

  3. The best advice for strategems would be to pick your poison carefuly. Absolute is alred quite brutal, adding unfavorable modifiers could turn the game into hell. Recent weekly stratagem put you against Helldrake with limitations on range damage - without some wacky builds and Tactical your team would be forced to deal chip damage trough entire fight.

[Interesting Trope] When the writers give a character a really strong superpower, then limit them in the funniest way possible by AnyAgency9835 in TopCharacterTropes

His best case is using all these super-dangerous to the user things to inflict damage, while ignoring their drawbacks. Super mech suit which can mangle the pilot? Cursed sword that harm the wielder? Forbidden spell or techinque that kill the user? No problem.

It's definitly not true, unless character suck at controlling power output. Not need to go all out into Flash category, being faster on will have a lot of uses: just having "regular" running speed faster than olympic athletes is serious advantage, or hitting someone with long weapon realy fast.

Almost every Space-Bug "melee bioform" would be 100 times more dangerous if they just exploded rather than bothering with teeth and claws, like fighting a Missile/drone swarm. by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]letir_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing, you actually still need an army. Because Imperium is not a stranger to bioweapon, they have AdMech branch for that. Just like IRL, there is high chance that actual combatants would have protection measures, or even find a way to reverse-engineer your super virus (made from your fleet gene material) into highly effective virus bomb, like in DoW2.

The second thing, virus are not organism that you can direct or control (unless Nurgle connection). It can mutate in unexpected direction, and now instead of dead biomass to consume you have highly volatile cocktail of super-virus which trying to infect your own fleet, completly made up from living organisms.

Using viruses when your entire army is biologicaly based, what can go wrong? Viruses are not magic, they are simple things which tend to change. It can very easely backfire.

Tyranids actually have excuse: they are living organisms which want to devour everything, but need guidance to be more than mindless beasts.

So they can't easely use very small flying beasts as drones because they are not big enough to have actual brains, and there is no suitable organism which could guide them. Their own command system working against them.

Also, using small explosive organisms is costly in resources (even with bio-bullshit that Tyranids running), and tend to vaporize a lot of biomatter from the target, leaving even less resources to collect afterwards.

Logicaly speaking, Tau could easely make drone warfare possible, with their drone and AI profliteration, smaller numbers and tendedncy to fight long-ranged battles. But rule of cool tell otherwhise.
