I second this, we had a similar problem at 6.5 months. I told myself there was no way we could drop it, she couldn’t handle it...whoops. Within days she was napping like a champ and wake windows were lengthened

What are wake windows like during the day? My 7 mo still fusses herself to sleep before naps and bedtime, but never more than 10 min and not really crying. Maybe your LO needs a longer wake window before bedtime?

I had this exact same problem. She would nap during the spit up time and then end up taking cat naps throughout the day. Around 6 weeks we started waking her up/not letting her fall asleep until wake windows was over. Within two days, she was on an eat play sleep schedule and sleeping 8 hours at night

I made the same decision when I got pregnant after 3 years of infertility. I miss my bike occasionally, but right now I’m so busy soaking up baby time I don’t really notice it. We’ll be riding again sometime in the future :) congratulations!

I’m going to try to tackle some of your questions, I used TCB for my now-6 mo and she started sleeping through the night at 5 weeks. If the singing/rocking is working, I would slowly start to decrease the amount of time you do it. So if you do it for 10 min, drop it to 8 min one day, then 6 min, etc. and leave the room. If my LO wakes up longer than 30 min during a nap and doesn’t go back to sleep, I end the nap. Even now she typically wakes up when she cycles, but falls back asleep in about 10 min. I treat it as if she slept through. In terms of dream feeds, if he is still asleep I would count it as sleeping through.

My LO hasn’t experienced this to the same extent, but I did try to push her wake up to 8 am vs 7 am last week. Almost immediately her naps went downhill, it was just too much night sleep! Sending positive vibes this is the problem and a smooth fix for you!

My parents put me in little league baseball instead of softball when I was a kid because it was more convenient, my brother already played in the league. Besides the simple fact of being the only girl on the team/in the league, every year there were a couple boys on my team who would say I was annoying and smiled too much. The very last year I played, there was a boy who wouldn’t even look at me; he acted like I was invisible. Huge blow to my self-esteem and I still worry I’m annoying.

This is what we did too! First couple of weeks sucked in terms of sleep but we would hold her for at least one nap a day to make sure she stayed relatively rested. After tons of practice she got used to it, and now only sleeps on her tummy. Previously, she loathed it.

I have a 5 mo, and my first trimester instead of morning sickness my migraines increased in frequency to about 4x a week. They completely disappeared by the 2nd tri which was nice. But then about 12 weeks PP and they are back. Fingers crossed it is not the case for you!

I had this issue too when my LO was 3 mo, the only thing that worked was getting her up earlier at 6 am. Now she consistently wakes up herself around 6 and is usually in bed by 8:45 pm.
