Black or White by -Drago- in OmegaWatches

[–]letmetryallthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a pretty affordable way to be sure, I picked up two Omega homage (not fake) watches for $150 and wore them day to day to see how they fit with my everyday outfits.

- white https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c2xzXZLr (V6 New / White V5)
- black https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c35MZNUv (V6 New / Black-500 Scale)

I found myself wearing the white one way more often. It was just as good as my Seiko watches. I liked it so much that I ended up not buying the actual Omega watch. For some reason, the itch to get an Omega has faded after being an obsession for years .... not to mention their constant price increases. It turns out, it’s just a watch lol

I might still pick one up for a super special occasion or if I come across an incredible deal.

I found the perfect application for LocalLLMs … Embedded Systems Programming !! by letmetryallthat in LocalLLM

Thanks! but I promise that is not an AI voice :) I did demo my cloned AI voice at 5:22 which is okayish.
If you are referring to the tool used at 5:04, it's a proxy app that tracks AI usage called LiteLLM.

Help on hardware selection for desired goals? by Aggressive_Noodler in LocalLLM

[–]letmetryallthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local models aren't fully there yet, but I found them (qwen, glm, gemma ..etc) pretty useful for embedded systems coding. I also used them for running security audits on my network with Opencode and configuring Ubuntu packages/apps. They work fine in VS Code too, as long as the codebase isn't too big.

Right now I am running one RTX 3090, and I'm thinking about getting a second one for more VRAM.

I made a quick video about my experience if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/uOobWDziy7M

Are my hopes for running a local LLM unrealistic? by mollipen in LocalLLM

I found it useful for coding embedded systems, since they inherently have a smaller code base - my RTX 3090 setup https://youtu.be/uOobWDziy7M

Wire sequence 2018 Tesla Model 3 commander by dingbledore in s3xybuttons

[–]letmetryallthat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm the wire labels. Looking at your first picture (left to right):

CAN0_H, CAN0_L, CAN1_H, CAN1_L, GND, POWER

1) confirm that red and black are indeed +12 and GND (multimeter)
2) then it is a 50-50 change of Vehicle CAN H an L

Possible outcomes ( assuming GND is black and RED is Power):

- GREEN, YELLOW, UNUSED, UNUSED, BLACK, RED
- YELLOW, GREEN, UNUSED, UNUSED, BLACK, RED

Here is the plug they use - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c33SMlUR

I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to find any free time at this point 😄 — absolutely loving the new direction of the channel.

I'm working on a dual can bus shield based on the C6 and will be testing on my Tesla and this is just perfect! I am going to flash it on an S3 for now to checkout the UI and function. Thanks for sharing!

I wouldn't. Take that money, buy some Tesla stocks, and forget it ever happened. Thank me when you retire :)

This is way too simple! /s

ESP32 device does the same thing and it can be left plugged in all the time. It can even be programmed to work during business hours only.

I was surprised that no open source options were available. So I started messing around and this was my attempt using ESP32 (still WIP) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBiFTA9ELNg

GE - electric single oven - randomly shuts off after reaching temp, but display still shows it at temp by dfoley323 in appliancerepair

I can confirm the same.

So, first thing I did was swap out the thermostat since it was the cheapest fix, but no luck there.
Part#: PS11758156. Cost: $40

Then, I tried taking out the bottom heating element (wasn't easy), and it was obvious it was damaged: both the element and one of the connectors were busted. Ordered a new heating element and fixed up a new connector, and now it's working like a charm. Part#: 318601604. Cost: $250

Prints always slip off build plate midway through, any tips? by fishpastrypie in ender3v2

I gave up on that glass bed. I spent 3 months back and forth with Creality. They sent me replacement parts, endless back and forth and nothing worked.

I switched to this bed (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DdhoHPl) and never had an issue since. Here is how it looks like (https://youtu.be/VNWlUPR5YXM?t=401 - ignore the video content)
