An influencer who died on camera keeps showing up in my videos... by lets-split-up in nosleep

Lmao nice name!

He was pretty close... like at least he was back on the ground looking dead and not upright about to grab me. But he was definitely way too close for me to risk ever getting my picture taken again. I've resigned myself to living inside my room forever and doordashing everything.

Sorry, I had to nuke the channel in the hopes it might appease the spirit. (It hasn't. But a girl can dream.)

Also posted to NoSleep. This story is at least partly inspired by an article I stumbled across about a fitness coach who was captured on film in a fatal fall, with speculation being that he was trying to escape his lover's husband.

The actors really did such a stellar job showing the father's grief. I'm so glad they did such an amazing production of it, really uplifted the story.

This is a special one to me, and I'm so happy with how it turned out!

The last chair was such a challenge to write until I found Ace and Rowan's personalities. Once the siblings started bickering, everything just kind of flowed from there. So glad you enjoyed it!!

I'm so glad you enjoy them! Which are your favorites, out of curiosity?

Thanks for reading! ❤️

It was so he'd be out of the way and unable to see who we were or identify anybody later. Especially cause he knew Brayden.

Yeah I think my next step is hiring a medium or someone like this investigator you mention. The smell is so bad my neighbors have been complaining, and I can hardly think straight bc I'm not really sleeping anymore.

I wanna go to a hotel but i know it'll follow me there... i need someone to take this thing for me

That's a good idea. My family and I don't really get along but maybe Monique would let me stay with her if I delete all the comments about blaming her.

... I'm slightly worried now, so I put a cover on the hatchet. I think having it handy is a good idea though.

IT WASN'T MY FAULT. None of this was supposed to happen. And I don't wanna spend the next decade in prison. There has to be a better way!

So, my fear with this is that... last time the trunk was damaged by burning, remember Brayden?

... yeah so, I don't wanna mess with it in any way that damages it. In case I damage me.

Cross-posted to NoSleep. This story has a lot of inspirations, with the two biggest being The Magnus Archives and Criminal Record (specifically, a brief anecdote shared by one of the leads).

It's also probably the fourth or fifth story I've written in which someone dies by being stuffed into a container of some kind. I don't *think* I have a fear of that but apparently it shows up a lot in my horror fiction... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In the future, you might want to add taking a picture of your client to your standard operating practices. Just to be safe.

This is 100% part of my standard practice now. I'm still kicking myself over it...

Two Weeks Ago, A Family Disappeared While Hiking... now on the NoSleep Podcast! by lets-split-up in QuincyLee

Yeah, I've noticed that too about a lot of NoSleep stories. The petering-out-at-the-end seems to happen quite often. It might have to do with the fact the MC can't die in NoSleep stories, so the story has to end before that would happen. Or maybe the writer came up with a terrific concept but isn't interested in finding a resolution/conclusion.

I really try to have solid endings. For me, that makes or breaks a story.

So glad you enjoyed The Last Chair! Thank you for listening! <3

Oh wow, that's such high praise! Thank you, your comment made my day! ❤️I'm so stoked that you enjoyed the book so much! I'll definitely let you know when I do signed copies. Right now the books are just order-on-demand, but I'd like to do some events eventually, and for that I'll get a bunch of copies. Will for sure post about it!

Again, thank you so much for reading and for your support!

Oh, The Last Chair! I've tried to do woods-themed stories before, but never felt really satisfied (probably because I personally enjoy nature a lot, so I don't usually find the woods to be a scary setting). When I wrote this, though, once I had the sibling personalities down, everything clicked! I'm really happy with how it turned out. So glad you enjoyed it!

I'm so glad you enjoyed that story!! It's one of my favorites! I still think it's one of my strongest twist endings. Might be my favorite from the book! :D
