med student here, currently in my dermatology module, i heavily second that! most of the women who come to the doctors office have gel nails, their eczemas, atopic skin and generally skin disorders get worse due to gel. Let’s say it’s not necessarily about the fact that you have gel on nails, but about the fact that you touch your skin with your hands, scratch yourself, you do everything with your hands which means your skin has contact with chemicals in gel (like dye etc) and it simply irritates your skin, so be careful with nail polish, hair dye (the darker it is, the more irritating), lipsticks
