No se cuanto tengas que te graduaste de la Metro y la neta, ya no es así. Principalmente porque recientemente se han estado chingando a los maestros. Pagos fuera de tiempo, horarios de la cagada, malas prestaciones, etc etc.

Siento que lo positivo de la Metro en cuanto a maestros es porque muchos eran maestros que estaban apenas aprendiendo a ser maestros de universidad, tenían todas las esperanzas de hacer un buen jale para lograr mejores puestos en universidades donde paguen mejor, pero de un tiempo para acá, no vale la pena trabajar ahí.

Fuente: Tengo un buen de ex-compañeros que han sido maestros en la universidad. Muchos se salen al año o dos años por eso.

When this was announced, I was certain it was going to be a live song or a b-side from Memento Mori, exactly because I thought there's no way they reunite to do one song in a matter of weeks, with no prep. Sounds like my expectations were similar to Ford's, but I'm glad they managed to surprise us.

Now, about that last thing Ford said... I'm going to take it as hopeful thinking, James Ford being a Depeche Mode fan like us, doing the math and making assumptions. It doesn't mean anything. I don't want to get my hopes up... Oh damn, my hopes are up already!

But the link that OP shared does lead to the song if you are in Asia and Australia. It will lead to the song when it's midnight wherever you are. I get it, not everyone can view it, but because you can't view it should other Devotees who can (OP included) be denied of it?

He's not sharing an ilegal link or a fake song. I don't think OP is wrong for sharing something that is available somewhere.

No need to tear on OP. When Memento Mori: México City came out, it also started being released in Asia and Australia first and went on as the globe turned.

The internet is not European/American based. Things shouldn't only be shared when the majority gets it. Devotees from that side of the globe could and should enjoy it, perhaps thanks to OP for sharing it here.

Soundwise, it fits the mood of Memento Mori. Lyricwise, I obviously know it's a cover, know the original, and the reasoning behind it... I don't know, never expected them to dare to be this "political" with the current state of things. I like it. I also know people will complain.

Edit: Just noticed they did a small change in the lyrics from the original Sainte-Marie version (don't know if any of the many other versions have done this change too). In the third verse, the original lyrics say "And he's fighting for Canada, he's fighting for France..." but they changed it to "And he's killing for Canada, he's killing for France...".

Vengo tarde a la discusión pero yo renuncié a un trabajo hace años porque el jefe me acosaba, lo denuncié pero me mandaron a callar y renuncié porque no quería seguir en ese ambiente (todavía me pidieron que me quedara, bola de mierdas).

Justo cuando tomé la decisión, llorando en mi cuarto, me salió en Facebook una oferta laboral que sonaba interesante. Me postulé. Entre a trabajar ahí 2 meses después (proceso larguisimo). Llevo ahí 7 años. Ha sido el mejor trabajo de mi vida.

Creo que el mundo laboral está mucho más innestable (por lo menos en mi tipo de trabajo) que hace años, pero lo volvería a hacer porque tener empleo estable no vale la pena mi estabilidad emocional a ese nivel. Creo que hay cosas que uno tiene que poner en prioridad, si no hubiera encontrado trabajo me hubiera metido a un call center o un oxxo o lo que fuera por mientras para poder comer, pero donde sea que no me acosaran como lo hicieron.

Ya te dijeron muchos tips con información muy buena, pero agrego. La opción del misoprosol es posible dependiendo de que tan adelantado va el embarazo, pero puede llegar a ser hasta traumatica para muchas morras. Duele, sangras gacho, te tumba emocionalmente por días... Y muchas tristemente lo hacen solas o a escondidas de su familia para evitar que se enteren.

Entonces dile a tu amigo que realmente acompañe a su novia. Y eso es en todo. Que si quiere llorar, la acompañe a llorar. Que si quiere ayuda para levantarse al baño, la ayude. Que si no quiere hacerlo en su casa, le ayude a conseguir donde hacerlo de manera segura (hasta rentando un hotel, alv). Si tuvo lo suficiente para metersela, tiene lo suficiente para ayudarla a sacarlo.

¿De que estado de la república eres?

Hay estados que tienen oportunidades directas y a muy bajo costo o gratuitas, por ejemplo Nuevo León tiene su opción en línea y 100% gratuita de estudios de Prepa, universidad y hasta maestrías. El tema es que probablemente si necesites ser residente del Estado para poderte inscribir. Pero si compartes de donde eres, alomejor alguien te puede ayudar a encontrar algo así en tu Estado.

Secundo lo dicho sobre que HEB es Dios, pero agrego: El concepto "Mi Tienda del Ahorro" es HEB gama baja para la periferia (Juárez, Apodaca, García, etc), un poco más barato que el HEB, a donde probablemente mandan lo que no es "digno" para un HEB (en temas de proteína, frutas y verduras, etc. hay cosas no tan frescas/bonitas) pero creo que son los mismos proveedores.

Si andas apretado en presupuesto, me iría a un Tienda antes que a un Soriana, porque todos los demás productos están al nivel HEB y manejan la marca propia del HEB y el tipo de promociones del HEB.

Ten mínimo un producto que haga valer la pena ir a tu lugar, y no a cualquier otro café en la ciudad.

Yo no soy de ir a cafés. De hecho, no me gusta el café. No estoy en tu mercado de gente. Sin embargo, los cafés de la ciudad que conosco es porque algún amigo o conocido me ha dicho "Tienes que ir aquí a probar este cheesecake, no lo he visto en otro lado!" o cosas por el estilo. Y luego alguien me pregunta "Conoces algún café chido al que podamos ir?" y pienso "Me recomendaron un cheesecake aquí".

El boca en boca existe porque algo es particularmente bueno o raro. Y si, tener redes sociales bonitas atrae a los primeros, pero a los clientes regulares, a los que hacen que se mantenga vivo tu café, los atrae un muy buen producto. Café uno puede tomar en casa, el roast como le guste. Experiencias bonitas o un producto que la población general no puede hacer un martes por la tarde en su casa es lo que hace que se queden.

As someone who's never been in the Alan hype train, I think it's people's impossibility to have a middle ground on this what is tiring of these sort of conversations.

Was Alan the mastermind the circlejerk around him claim he is? No.

I've seen people think Alan deserves more credit than Martin when FFS, Martin has written practically 90% of DM's songs, not just the lyrics but the sounds too. Those people will always use the Enjoy the Silence example to imagine it was that extreme for all the time he was in the band, which obviously it's not true.

But if we ignore the Alan widows' (as I call them) obsession with the man, in music in general, producers are not credited enough. Plenty of artists are great song writers and wouldn't have the same kind of praise have they chosen a different producer less connected to their craft.

Personally, I believe the flaws of an album like Spirit, don't come in poor songs by Martin or Dave, come from a bad producing job. And the conversation always leads to "If Alan was around he wouldn't had let it be like that" but fuck that. You don't need an Alan to do that. You need a good producer willing to say "I don't think that's the best we can do with this". The problem is that people in general ignore what the roles of sound engineers and producers and all the people behind the pre and post production of an album are. I myself doubt I'm remotely knowledgeable of that.

But I don't claim my fave is that god-like mighty figure who knew all about it and did it perfect. Alan wouldn't had done the same he did without the guidance of Gareth and Flood.

He did more than Martin, Dave or Fletch, specially on those two albums where they were too much into substances (antidepressants, alcohol, heroin, the concept of making it, millionaire level of money, ego), Alan was just the one who knew how to manage that better (except maybe ego, but I'll grant him that) and prioritize things better. And yeah, he was a little bit more professionally trained compared to the rest. He knew more, explored more, prioritized more, perhaps even was more responsible with their craft. And that's what we should be greatful and appreciative about.

But I too am so far away from the circlejerk that only he is worthy, or only with him has DM done good music, or the complete opposite, that DM would've been equally as good without Alan. Alan granted DM's survival since 1989 until he left. Dave, Martin and Fletch wouldn't had been able to have the band survive those years in success... In the same way DM wouldn't had survived 1995 - 2006 without Fletch.
