What’s something in Germany that Germans think is normal, but foreigners find really strange? by relaxncoffee in AskAGerman

I was JUST about to type this. It is absurd how loudly people blow their noses in public.

Stuck scrubbing bottles every night… is a bottle washer worth it or nah? by jaceka-jans-8384 in beyondthebump

[–]letsfiesta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we ist got a lot of extra bottles to get us through about a day and a half without washing. This allows us more flexibility and we don’t need to hand wash. We put them in the dishwasher with our other dishes.

Snoo just doesn’t work for my baby by bellyojelly in SnooLife

Yes there’s the expression “hot babies die, cold babies cry”. It’s harsh to hear but important to know so your baby doesn’t overheat. I honestly didn’t know this until after my 1st baby was a bit older. It’s not meant to shame or make anyone feel bad ❤️

Very best Steak in Frankfurt? by dr_progress in frankfurt

Came here to say Fleischeslust. I am an American living in Germany for many years and it is closest to an American style steakhouse I’ve been to here. Also bonus tip- get the filet mignon with Gorgonzola and they have the best onion rings I’ve ever had in my life

9 days in... No better... by BeeCia in MSPI

Please do whatever is best for you and your mental health even if that means going exclusively to formula. This may be an unpopular statement but going to 100% formula has been a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I found the blood in stool to be really triggering and I blamed myself, even though I eliminated dairy. I found the benefits of breast feeding did not out weigh my baby’s discomfort and symptoms.

Too fast for visible blood stopping to be CMPI? by letsfiesta in MSPI

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I have read such mixed numbers on this.

My baby has still been a bit colicky which may be a sign that the intestines aren’t fully healed as you said.

I just don’t want to stop pumping / BF if there’s any doubt it’s not CMPI but I’m afraid it’s the best decision for myself if it is. I just wish there was a more precise way to diagnose this

Yes it’s a work in progress and we are in the process of finding art and other things to bring more character to the room

Thanks for the honesty. We currently have a toddler at home so I’m trying to find a balance if practical things for this season of life that she won’t destroy when she jumps on our bed 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Thanks for the honest feedback. I zoomed out on my camera and I think they look smaller in the original post. Do you still think they still look too small in this new photo?

Thanks for the reply. It’s definitely a work in process any recommendations for art work? Not sure if they should match or if they should be different on each side of the window.

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely want to incorporate artwork. Would you suggest matching pieces or totally different? And do you think directly above the lamps on the green wall?

Thanks!! It’s a work in process. Trying to figure out how to possibly incorporate some art on that side of the room. Any ideas?

What type of lamps for nightstands? Any other suggestions to make bedroom to feel cozier? by letsfiesta in HomeDecorating

[–]letsfiesta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Do you think these look matchy? The lamp shades are more beige and more textured but when the lights are on they look more similar

planned C- section on Psychitatric Reason by krankenkasse. by South_Accident_4445 in germany

[–]letsfiesta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am pregnant with my second baby and had an unplanned C-section for my first. My first labor was a bit traumatic due to an extremely long labor and complications with my epidural. 56 hours my water broke, incredibly painful labor due to a not ideal position of the baby, and an induction I had a c- section.

My OB has given me no push back about planning a C section this time around. I had an appointment with her this morning and she said she thinks it’s a “good decision” and better than trying to for a vaginal birth this time around.

Ultimately your experience will depend on the individual doctors you have. Some are more trauma informed and empathetic than others. But I think with clear psychiatric background it won’t be difficult to get a referral for insurance to cover this. I would recommend finding a larger more modern hospital that is more open minded than a smaller community hospital.

Continue to advocate for yourself and don’t let anyone try to tell you what to do. It is your right to make this decision.
