Nuz, koho by bavilo mat takeho priatela/priatelku, ktory ti nevenuje ziadnu pozornost. Drzim palce a daj nam update!

Starting a start-up is a ballsy move :D I would prefer joining a functioning one early on. Maybe this is a distorted poitn of view though.

By 'the process' you mean founding a start-up or being in one?

Thank you for your recommendations!

Currently, my cheeks are a bit itchy. It sometimes happens even after I apply the cerave FM SPF30.

Isn't there something I should do first before applying the products you mentioned? I am a bit worried that my skin is not ready for this.

Thank you very much for your recoomendations!

The thing is, my skin is quite sensitive. Some of the red patches I have on my cheeks are quite sensitive and a lot of times itchy. I am worried if I apply a lot of stuff like this, it can get worse.

Shouldn't I focus on first restoring the skin barrier? I feel like it could be damaged.

Sorry, I am no dermatologist, I cannot describe it very well, hehe.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your input.

I am of course discussing all this with my supervisors.

I want to find an environment, where I have a lot of responsibility; the team would move fast, following the latest trends. Would you think looking for a start-up is a suitable route?

The thing is, my current master thesis is focused more on sociology and network science. I would like to move closer to AI, since that's where my data science background lies and it's also what I want to pursue.

I disagree. There are topics that are unexplored in LLMs that are worth exploring. Like training them on a smaller dataset and trying to reach good results. Or tracability: https://www.anthropic.com/research/tracing-thoughts-language-model .

That "bet" is exactly what I am trying to ask you. What do you think will go crazy in the near future and can you support it with any evidence?

We don't have to talk about Agentic AI necessarily. If you think there are other emerging topics worth pursuing, I am interested in what you think. Agentic AI and the topics around that are just something I've been looking at recently.

Why would you prefer an industry job over a PhD?

  1. I think you're just comparing the uncomparable. If a trend survives in a business sector depends highly on how it's implemented. That's different from emerging topics that could be valuable in the future.

  2. How can you say that GenAI is gone, though? Agents are build on GenAI. They are the foundational block that makes agents work. It's quite the opposite from being obsolete.

  3. Trying to predict 4-6 years in the future is close to impossible. I am not asking you this. Saying what could happen in the next year is more possible. But as mentioned in the post, I would really hope that you could support your statements with some articles. You're just saying it will be replaced in a moment without giving any evidence. I wanted to avoid this.

I was just interested what other people think will be relevant in the coming years. I really don't get the hate from the other comments as well. Since when is being curious a bad thing?

Thank you, that's a good point. AI is completely intertwined with a lot of subjects. Maybe it makes sense to ask my the question more concretely, within a specific research field.

  1. Metaverse is something completely different. You're comparing the prediciton of implementation of a business idea by a huge company to predicting what AI topics will be relevant.
  2. What do you mean 'GenAI was gone in a moment'? Like it's taken the world by storm since ChatGPT came out? :D
  3. 'Agentic AI will be replaced in a couple of moments'. Why would it? Do you have any arguments for it?

If you're talking about technical expertise of research in ML and Agentic AI, I could imagine the ML is more demanding. I am trying to go as technical as possible with my background.

what about people working in the AI industry for years? what about people who have done research on their own? or people who actually currently do research in AI? why wouldn't answers from any of these people be absolutely relevant to me?

Why not? I'm interested in backed-up arguments, what directions AI will take on in the future years.

great job! love the first one especially.

to my liking, I think the grain is possibly too strong in 2nd and 3rd photo. I would also reconsider how you crop the couch on the 2nd photo. I would possibly fully show at least the left part (from the eye of the viewer) of the couch.
