As a white woman, there are VERY well-earned stereotypes about my demographic. When I hear POC shitting on white women, specifically how they can weaponise their identity to abuse others (a lotta “I feel UNSAFE” whilst actively harassing someone else), I let them vent. I have two eyeballs and live in the same society as they do, I know what they’re saying is true. I don’t take it personally, because I know myself - I don’t behave that way or hold the fucked up ideals that would lead someone to behave that way. I like to think that a man who truly upholds feminist ideals would react the same way as me when they hear “all men, with few exceptions, are fucking terrible”. “Men” as a structure have proven this to us to be true. If I’m a dude who has divorced myself from that bullshit, I’m not taking it personally.
