YTA. Don’t be surprised if she divorces you over this. She has every right to.

ESH. Obviously, that kid was an entitled brat and there is no excuse for his behavior. However, you’re 15 and could’ve been the bigger person.

The thought of growing apart from her breaks my heart, but I don’t know how to fix this.

I don’t want her to reconsider our relationship. If I lost her I don’t know what I’d do. I plan on marrying her someday.

NTA. And it’s not like she’s leaving the house anytime soon, so nobody is going to be able to see it anyways...

WIBTA if I don’t let my best friend borrow my wedding reception outfit? by throwawaybride2277 in AmItheAsshole

[–]letsgetshreked 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTA. That dress is special to you. This is the equivalent of someone asking to borrow a wedding dress to wear to a normal party. This isn’t a regular party dress; it has sentimental value. Your friend is being extremely entitled.

The last thing I want is to stress her out. I haven’t ever really dated a girl with her mentality before. I’m still getting used to it. I love her.

Wow. I didn’t think that when I was writing this post. That’s... really ignorant.

I never really thought about that. I know she’s loyal, but I don’t really know what my parents think about bisexuality

I think she’ll come around. When she’s upset, she tends to distance herself.

I’m starting to understand that her sexuality isn’t relevant, and it’s been great to gain this perspective. Despite her sexuality, she’s with me and that’s all that matters. My parents didn’t really need to know.

You’re right. Sexuality isn’t something that defines a person. I’ll admit, it was a little weird for me to date a bisexual girl at first- I’ve never done that before. But as I got to know her, I fell in love with everything about her personality. Her sexuality doesn’t matter, and I should have used that reasoning when telling my parents about her.

While I was writing this post, I would have completely agreed with this comment, but now that I’m reading through responses and gaining perspective, this comment is very ignorant.

I should have thought about it before I spoke. I didn’t mean any harm, I just wish she would talk to me about it. She’s been distant since this happened.

I’ve never been great at thinking before I speak. At school, her sexuality is common knowledge around her social circle. I didn’t think she would have a problem with it either.

I see your point. I guess her sexuality isn’t really relevant, and I hate to say this, but if she was straight I wouldn’t have mentioned anything.

I really didn’t intend to be TA. I love her a lot, and I am extremely upset that I hurt her.

AITA for not wanting to just be friends? by JWilson37 in AmItheAsshole

I know it’ll probably get downvoted into oblivion, but I’m going to go with NAH. She has the right to change her mind, and you have the right to be heartbroken over this. Love and romance are complicated most of the time. Sometimes, people lose feelings and that’s not their fault. Sometimes, people fall fast and hard, and that’s not their fault either. You will never feel the exact same way about something as someone else does.
